The goal of the New York Cancer Center is to provide patients with the knowledge, hope and support that will empower them to take an active role in their treatment and healing options.

Fox Chase's mission is to reduce the burden of human cancer through the pursuit of knowledge in basic biological research; to conduct research specifically related to cancer causes, prevention, and treatment; and to apply this knowledge to the prevention of cancer and the treatment of cancer patients. Fox Chase has the oldest and third-largest cancer center support grant from the National Cancer Institute and is the oldest cancer specialty hospital in the nation. In January 2000, Fox Chase opened the nation's first facility devoted to comprehensive cancer prevention research. The National Breast Center Foundation exists to improve the lives of women by removing barriers that prevent them from getting proper screening, diagnosis, and education about breast cancer. Our region has the HIGHEST incidence and mortality from breast cancer in the nation. Women in our area also have one of the highest rates of late stage breast cancer. Something has to happen to address this crisis. I believe that education, access, and technology are the answer.

MINNESOTA MASONIC CHARITIES AND AFFILIATES' PURPOSES ARE TO HELP, AID AND ASSIST THE MASONIC FAMILY AND OTHERS, GUIDED BY THE MASONIC PRINCIPLES OF BROTHERLY LOVE, RELIEF AND TRUTH, BY (A) PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR NURSING CARE AND ELDERLY HOUSING; FACILITIES AND PROGRAMS FOR COMMUNITY, HEALTH, SOCIAL SERVICES AND EDUCATION OF OLDER PERSONS AND THEIR FAMILIES; AND PROFESSIONALS WHO SERVE OLDER PERSONS; (B) PROMOTING RESEARCH AND OTHER ACTIVITIES RELATED TO THE TREATMENT AND CURE OF CANCER; (C) ASSISTING STUDENTS IN OBTAINING HIGHER EDUCATION; (D) THE COLLECTION, PRESERVATION AND DISSEMINATION OF HISTORICAL KNOWLEDGE ABOUT MASONRY IN MINNESOTA; AND (E) TO ENGAGE IN, PROMOTE, AND ADMINISTER CHARITABLE CAUSES AND PROJECTS THAT AID, ASSIST, AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE SUPPORT OF CORPORATIONS, TRUST, ASSOCIATIONS, AND FOUNDATIONS THAT ARE EXEMPT FROM FEDERAL INCOME TAXES.

The mission of Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center is to improve survivorship and lessen the burden of cancer through expert treatment, compassionate care, early detection, research and education.
