The Don’t be a Chump! Check for a Lump! mission is to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer through education, prevention, and direct assistance with free wigs and mammograms.

Gilda's Club South Jersey's mission is to ensure that allpeople impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community. Gilda's Club provides a free, comprehensive program of psychosocial support to adults, teens and children impacted by cancer.

THE ORGANIZATION WAS FORMED TO PROVIDE FREE MEDICAL EDUCATION AND TREATMENT TO POOR AND UNDERPRIVILEGED CANCER PATIENTS. THE ORGANIZATION WILL RELY ON ITS BOARD AND OTHERS WHO WILL PRIMARILY BE COMPRISED OF MEDICAL DOCTORS, RESEARCHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS, AND THEY WILL OVERSEE TWO PRIMARY PROGRAMS: EDUCATION AND TREATMENT. MANY UNDERPRIVILEGED CANCER PATIENTS IN THIRD-WORLD COUNTRIES SIMPLY DO NOT HAVE THE NECESSARY INFORMATION TO UNDERSTAND THEIR MEDICAL CIRCUMSTANCES AND THEIR TREATMENT OPTIONS. THE INITIAL AND ONGOING FOCUS IS TO GET THE INFORMATION TO THOSE PATIENTS WHO MOST NEED IT. THE PROGRAM INCLUDES FREE CLASSES AND MATERIALS (SUCH AS LEAFLETS AND HANDOUTS). THE SECOND PROGRAM IS THE TREATMENT OF PATIENTS. THIS PROGRAM WILL NECESSARILY REQUIRE SUBSTANTIAL FUNDING IN THE LONG-TERM, TO COVER THE COST OF MEDICATION, MEDICAL SUPPLIES, FACILITIES AND STAFF.

Our organization was founded by breast cancer survivors who have a passion for supporting and empowering others who are currently in the fight against breast and gynecological cancers. We don't want to just TALK about cancer, we want to TAKE ON cancer. We are here to make the burden lighter. We strive to balance the fear and uncertainty that breast and gynecological cancers bring to individuals and families by providing FREE direct services of healthy meals, housecleaning, rides to treatment, and peer support to our clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, CA, Cincinnati, OH, northern KY, southeastern IN, Columbus, OH, Dayton, OH, and the St. Louis, MO/western IL areas, to ensure that No One Travels This Road Alone…™
