Since 1953, The Tommy Fund for Childhood Cancer, has supported families whose children are undergoing cancer treatments at Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven. The Tommy Fund provides direct payment for rent, mortgage and utility bills so parents can take time off from work to tend to their child. The clinic sees several hundred newly-diagnosed children each year and treats more children with cancer than any other hospital in Connecticut.

TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO CANCER VICTIMS. THIS SUPPORT IS PRIMARILY PROVIDED IN TWO WAYS: 1) DISTRIBUTION OF FINANCIAL "GESTURES" TO ASSIST WITH THE FINANCIAL BURDEN OF A CANCER DIAGNOSIS AND 2) OFFERING OF HEALTHY AND ACTIVE-LIVING ACTIVITIES (SURVIVE, THRIVE & BE FIT) TO ENCOURAGE PATIENTS AND SURVIVORS TO LIVE MORE FULLY FOLLOWING A CANCER DIAGNOSIS.

The mission of the Kosten foundation is four-fold:To establish support and a forum for communication amongst those afflicted with pancreatic cancer via support group meetings and this website.To assist with the training of future pancreatic surgeons.To provide funding for a yearly Memphis public lecture on pancreatic cancer delivered by a nationally and/or internationally renowned expert on the disease.To provide funding for clinical and basic research toward improving outcomes of those afflicted with pancreatic cancer.

To ease suffering, provide hope, and save lives of people stricken with cancer

Founded in 1947, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is committed to providing expert, compassionate care to children and adults with cancer, while advancing the understanding, treatment, cure, and prevention of cancer and related diseases. As an affiliate of Harvard Medical School and a Comprehensive Cancer Center designated by the National Cancer Institute, the Institute also provides training for new generations of physicians and scientists, designs programs that promote public health particularly among high-risk and underserved populations and disseminates innovative patient therapies and scientific discoveries in Boston, across the United States and throughout the world.

Our primary goal is to help underwrite life-saving medical treatment and research throughout the United States for catastrophically and terminally ill children (and adults) battling, but not solely limited to, cancer and aids. Further, to underwrite aid to women battling breast cancer, as well as purchasing respite homes throughout the United States for families supporting loved ones undergoing treatment at various speciality treatment centers. Likewise, to advocate against health insurance companies and any other organization and/or firm that would deny any claim filed by an individual who is disabled and requires benefits, help and/or assistance. The success of our organization over the last thirty-five (35) years is due substantially to the generous help and support of retired judges, attorneys at law, congressmen and senators and a host of other individuals throughout the United States. Altruistic by nature, these individuals have provided invaluable assistance –– often at no cost –– to help us safeguard the rights of catastrophically and terminally ill children (and adults) to life-saving medical care throughout the United States.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) is dedicated to being the end of breast cancer by advancing the world's most promising research. Founded by Evelyn H. Lauder in 1993, BCRF-funded investigators have been deeply involved in every major breakthrough in breast cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. The Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund, Inc., supports both new and established researchers at University Hospital and Medical Center at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and other outstanding academic institutions, investigating the causes, prevention and treatment of breast cancer. This research will include-but not be limited to-studies of the genetic, molecular, cellular and environmental factors involved in the development and progression of breast cancer; application of the knowledge thus gained to educate medical professionals and increase public awareness for the prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer; and studies of the outcomes of breast cancer detection and treatment on the patient, their families and society.
