THE ORGANIZATION WILL RELY ON ITS BOARD AND OTHERS WHO WILL PRIMARILY BE COMPRISED OF MEDICAL DOCTORS, RESEARCHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS, AND THEY WILL OVERSEE TWO PRIMARY PROGRAMS: EDUCATION AND TREATMENT. MANY UNDERPRIVILEGED CANCER PATIENTS IN THIRD-WORLD COUNTRIES SIMPLY DO NOT HAVE THE NECESSARY INFORMATION TO UNDERSTAND THEIR MEDICAL CIRCUMSTANCES AND THEIR TREATMENT OPTIONS. THE INITIAL AND ONGOING FOCUS IS TO GET THE INFORMATION TO THOSE PATIENTS WHO MOST NEED IT. THE PROGRAM INCLUDES FREE CLASSES AND MATERIALS (SUCH AS LEAFLETS AND HANDOUTS). THE SECOND PROGRAM IS THE TREATMENT OF PATIENTS. THIS PROGRAM WILL NECESSARILY REQUIRE SUBSTANTIAL FUNDING IN THE LONG-TERM, TO COVER THE COST OF MEDICATION, MEDICAL SUPPLIES, FACILITIES AND STAFF.
