The Gazelle Foundation funds and builds clean water projects in Burundi, Africa. Founded in 2006 in Austin, Texas by a group of runners interested in helping others, the Gazelle Foundation now includes runners, walkers, couch potatoes, kids, students and others working to help people in Burundi. The mission of the Afya Foundation of America: Supplies for Life is to provide the medical, surgical and community-health inventories needed to support well-established health initiatives in Africa and the Caribbean. The Afya Foundation serves as a donation-based clearinghouse, with the primary intent of partnering and supporting established organizations in the international health community. Since its inception in late 2007, the Afya Foundation has partnered with a vast network of donor hospitals, health organizations and corporations. It has successfully gathered and sorted supplies and repaired equipment that are being discarded due to the strict healthcare regulations under which they operate. Afya collects, sorts and packs these recovered supplies so they can be shipped via container filled with to Africa and the Caribbean. These efforts are only the beginning, and every single item in these shipments represents Afya's ongoing commitment to put all the materials gathered from the New York healthcare market to their optimal use abroad. Our reliability and efficiency has aided in our partnering with numerous organizations that represent program excellence in the international public health sector. We are a supply source for many international health organizations. We have established relationships with leaders in-country throughout Africa. Afya strives to be a highly efficient and effective source of recycled medical supplies, while simultaneously enabling systematic change in health care delivery abroad. Afya also contributes to positive health and environmental outcomes by reducing medical waste incineration.
Omnis Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring communities in crises by establishing health and education programs founded on social responsibility. Our goal is to provide resources necessary for sustainable growth. We believe that the best way to unlock one’s potential is through creating an environment that encourages progress. We started our work in Ukraine to address the immediate humanitarian needs of the families and children affected by unrest in the eastern part of the country. Our short-term initiatives focused on supplying emergency medical aid and organizing educational workshops for physicians to set higher standards for the treatment of the wounded. Our long-term initiatives include projects that provide underprivileged children and youth with access to better education and empower them to realize their full potential. TESE Foundation (501(c)3 )was born out of concern for the severe needs of school children in Zimbabwe. We are currently supporting children in Junior High and High School with Tuition, reusable sanitary packs, books, and uniforms. Different from public schools in the US, education in Zimbabwe, is not free and the cost of school is prohibitive for so many poor families. Girls, in particular, are kept out of school when family budgets are stretched, and they miss months of school because they lack appropriate sanitary materials
