Institute For Justice & Democracy In Haiti

We are a partnership of Haitian and US human rights advocates. We support the Haitian people in their struggle to achieve universal human rights, access to a just legal system, social justice, a society without violence, and the right to participate fully in choosing their government. Using models like the US civil rights movement, we are active in the courts, both in Haiti and internationally, in the streets and in poor neighborhoods. We work in partnership with grassroots movements, to transform the structural injustices that stand in the way of stability and prosperity for the majority of Haitians.

OPERATION FISTULA

Obstetric fistula is the manifestation of entrenched societal and institutional inequity. Its persistence is a direct result of systems failing to serve women and girls. We exist to end obstetric fistula. We do this by building models of care that serve every woman, everywhere. We relentlessly challenge the systems of gender inequity that perpetuate fistula, and engage collaboratively with partner agencies to maximize and scale our impact. Using new technologies, and cutting-edge data collection tools, we will provide an unprecedented degree of transparency to the social impact sector, and transform global maternal health.

Innovating Health International

ABOUT US Innovating Health International (IHI) is a non-profit dedicated to treating chronic diseases and addressing women's health issues in developing countries. What do we do? Working with local partners, we aim to increase access to treatment and education services for chronic diseases such as cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes and injuries. Current projects include a Women's Cancer Center, a large cancer awareness program, opening a pathology laboratory, and helping to build a national comprehensive cancer program. What does Innovating Healthcare look like? Collaboration and discovery are at the heart of our practice and guide our organisation's ethos. Innovating Health means learning with others to bring our expertise in medical care, social engagement, community based research and problem solving into different contexts. We strive to create new and hybrid models of healthcare and engagement that do not seek to simply 'build capacity' but respond to local needs through constant iteration and consultation.
