ALBERTA CANCER FOUNDATION

Nearly one in two Albertans will develop cancer in their lifetime and nearly one in four will be lost to cancer. At the Alberta Cancer Foundation, we intend to change that. Our promise to our donors is progress in cancer research, prevention, treatment and care. Your dollars make a transformational impact right here at home by advancing Alberta’s leading-edge provincial research strategy and the compassionate work of the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, the Cross Cancer Institute and Alberta’s 15 other cancer centres. Representing nearly 200,000 donors, the Alberta Cancer Foundation is the number one non-governmental source of funding for cancer research and programs. Last year we invested $23.3 million towards our vision of a cancer-free future. We know something can be done about cancer and we're willing to do it. With you by our side, we can continue pushing for accelerated change, progress and above all, results.

Attention

TGTHR, formerly Attention Homes TGTHR is a social movement and nonprofit, working with courageous communities to end youth homelessness. For youth between the ages of 12-24 we provide life changing resources such as: employment assistance, education programs, supportive housing, short term housing, permanent supportive housing, long-term housing navigation, support and inclusivity groups, family coaching services, life-skills development, mental and physical wellness support, and an array of individual and group activities. Homelessness is not just a lack of shelter. It’s the absence of a home — a place where somebody feels safe, comfortable, secure, and valued. Ending youth homelessness requires all young people to have a place to live, employment, access to education, wellness, and a supportive community. That’s what TGTHR has been delivering for almost 60 years. It takes all types of partners to end youth homelessness. Whether you are an individual, business, community group, school, or government agency, you play a vital role in this work.
