BISM was founded in 1908 by the Maryland General Assembly, and supports the blind community by providing stable and rewarding career opportunities, innovative rehabilitation programs, economic and personal independence, and appropriate resources for training and education. Together, we are positively changing attitudes about blindness.

The Retina Foundation of the Southwest is an independent, nonprofit research institution whose mission is to prevent vision loss and restore sight through innovative research and treatment.

Hands of Hope Foundation is designed to operate and develop faith based communities that will function on a local, national, and international level to provide financial and/or direct assistance to individuals, families, and other organizations in meeting a wide variety of needs to include: short term housing, medical care, education assistance, drinkable water, food and clothing; as well as a place of respite for Ministers and their families. Offering Hope in Christ in the spirit of 1 Peter 3:15. Our current projects include: educational services in Liberia, Bulgaria, and Thailand. Medical clinic in Weala, Liberia. 5 new churches in Pattaya, Thailand.

The mission of AIDS Action Committee is to stop the AIDS epidemic and related health inequities by eliminating new infections, maximizing healthier outcomes of those infected and at risk, and attacking the root causes of HIV/AIDS. To achieve this mission AAC provides services to the individual and addresses the root causes of the epidemic

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Founded in 1940, the NFB is the transformative membership and advocacy organization of blind Americans with affiliates, chapters, and divisions in the fifty states, Washington DC, and Puerto Rico. Together, with love, hope, and determination, we transform dreams into reality.
