Your gifts also fund brain tumour research to find the cause of and better treatments for brain tumour patients.

United to Beat Malaria

Nothing But Nets is a global grassroots campaign to raise awareness, funds, and voices to fight malaria. In 2006, sports columnist Rick Reilly wrote a column in Sports Illustrated challenging each of his readers to donate at least $10 to send insecticide-treated bed nets to protect families from malaria-carrying mosquitoes.

Founded in 1973, Our mission at the Central Florida Children's Home is to care for children whose parents either cannot or will not provide for them due to certain circumstances in the child’s life, and/or difficulties in the parents’ lives. We create a real ‘home’ atmosphere by assigning children a “mom and dad”. This creates a secure environment where the children can experience unconditional love and nurturing. An emphasis is placed on academic achievement to insure that the children are well prepared for higher academic studies or vocational training for the job market. Our children are assigned chores and responsibilities to help develop character and discipline, skills that they can carry with them throughout their lives. Non-profit 501 (C) 3 charity. We accept NO state or governament funding. We rely solely on the community for funds.

BURNABY HOSPITAL FOUNDATION

Burnaby Hospital Foundation raises funds to support the medical equipment needs of Burnaby Hospital. Burnaby Hospital is a 300 bed, community based, acute care hospital caring for over 230,000 people every year. Our Emergency department is one of the busiest in the Province of BC and treats over 45,000 adults and 12,000 children annually.

Kyleigh's Cure

Kyleigh’s Cure's mission is to help find a treatment, or cure for galactosemia. Galactosemia is an extremely rare disease in which too much galactose is produced in the blood. At this time, there is currently no cure, or treatment for galactosemia. The disease is so rare; there is minimal funding for research. Our fundraising efforts help the research continue, and give Kyleigh the opportunity of a normal life someday.

The Hepatitis B Foundation is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to finding a cure and improving the quality of life for those affected by hepatitis B worldwide. Our commitment includes funding focused research, promoting disease awareness, supporting immunization and treatment initiatives, and serving as the primary source of information for patients and their families, the medical and scientific community, and the general public.

Hereditary Disease Foundation

The Foundation focuses on curing Huntington's disease , not only because of its devastating consequences to individuals and families with the disease, but because it is a model for curing other brain disorders like Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and Lou Gehrig's (ALS) diseases. Today the Foundation continues to fund innovative research toward curing Huntington's disease and impacting other brain disorders.

Albuquerque Christian Childrens Home

ACCH provides the very best physical, psychological, and spiritual care for school aged children who have been neglected, abused or in need of supervision. We care for these children without regard for their race, religion ,culture, national origin, financial status or social status. ACCH operates 100% off donations, accepting no state or federal funding

Wingham & District Hospital Foundation

The Foundation was incorporated in 1978 as a non-profit organization, set up to receive and administer donations from the public. The accumulated funds are for the sole benefit of the Wingham and District Hospital. The Foundation is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors independent of the Hospital. Each year the Foundation directs money to supplement the financial needs of the hospital to ensure the highest standard of health care.
