Helen Keller Services for the Blind enables individuals who are blind, visually-impaired, deaf-blind and/or have combined hearing-vision loss to live, work and thrive in their community of choice.
In the past year, The Food Bank of Waterloo Region, assisted approximately 28,000 neighbours in Waterloo Region. Yearly, The Food Bank distributes over 3 million pounds of food to community individuals who are facing challenging circumstances. Food is distributed through a partnership of 76 member agencies and community programs which provide emergency food hampers and meals. In 1973 as a result of the need for profound changes in mental health services the Alliance was incorporated in Los Angeles as the Coalition of Spanish Speaking Mental Health Organizations (COSSMHO). Since then the organization has grown and expanded to reflect the changing needs of the people and communities served. Today, the National Alliance for Hispanic Health is the premier science-based and community-driven organization that focuses on the best health for all. Community-based members provide services to more than 15 million Hispanics throughout the U.S. every year and national organization members provide services to more than 100 million people annually.

Our mission: ABODE provides a beautiful home and compassionate care for those at end of life, at no charge. We run completely on donations and grants. Guests who come to ABODE are under the care of hospice agencies. Our well-trained staff and volunteers partner with hospice to provide personal care, meals and support for those in their final 3 months, weeks and days of life. We also offer a robust community education program in which we teach the art of contemplative living and dying. Our vision: We live in a world where death is not feared, and we live fully until we die.

Pathway Home provides quality care to the dying, meeting their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs in a supportive home environment, while respecting their individuality and maintaining their dignity in their final days. Admission is based solely on need with our regard to their age, gender, race, or spiritual beliefs
