With the goal of providing services, education, and support for those with Parkinson's disease (PD) and their families, a group of volunteers formed the Parkinson Foundation Western Pennsylvania in 1995. Today, the Foundation serves as the hub for information, programs, and connection for Parkinson's patients and their loved ones. PFWPA continues to keep thousands of individuals with PD, their families, and allied professionals informed about the disease as well as news and advances in Parkinson's disease care and treatment through quarterly Lunch and Learns, educational seminars and classes, staff trainings, email newsletters, its website, and social media channels.
