The Johnny O Foundation

Our national mission is to educate the American public as to the growing seriousness of Alzheimer's, Dementia and Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) in the American population by raising the necessary donations through strategic research initiatives and heightened public awareness to accomplish our objectives.   We are also dedicated to helping fund the necessary research to find a cure for both Alzheimer's and Dementia while promoting awareness, education, and research funding in the area of improved safety standards to prevent TBI (traumatic brain injury), potential precursors to Alzheimer's and Dementia.

Wingham & District Hospital Foundation

The Foundation was incorporated in 1978 as a non-profit organization, set up to receive and administer donations from the public. The accumulated funds are for the sole benefit of the Wingham and District Hospital. The Foundation is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors independent of the Hospital. Each year the Foundation directs money to supplement the financial needs of the hospital to ensure the highest standard of health care.

WINDSOR CANCER CENTRE FOUNDATION

All of the funds raised by the Foundation, through donations and events, remain in this community to be used to fulfill the Foundation's goals of enhancing the care and treatment of cancer patients in Windsor & Essex County, and supporting locally based cancer research.

BC CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL FOUNDATION

BC Children's Hospital Foundation raises money to support excellence and innovation in care, treatment and research and BC Children's Hospital, Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children and the Child & Family Research Institute. The Foundation's activities include major gift fundraising, planned giving and a wide variety of annual programs. As steward of philanthropic donations to Children's Hospital, Sunny Hill Health Centre and the Child & Family Research Institute, the Foundation issues charitable receipts and ensures donations are allocated to the areas to which donors have designated their support. The Foundation is currently engaged in the $200-million Campaign for BC Children to build a new children's hospital and ensure all BC children have access to a consistent standard of pediatric care.

Viet Blind Children Foundation

Founded in 2000 by Fr. Thuan and two friends based in San Francisco, CA, the Blind Vietnamese Children Foundation assisted The Lover of the Holy Cross Sisters who had just established Nhat Hong Thi Nghe Home for the Blind in Ho Chi Minh City (1995). Up to the present time with the Foundation’s support the Sisters expanded to nine homes and schools with a total of almost 400 students. The Foundation has also provided funding to maintain the homes, schools, and healthcare centers for visually impaired children administered by other lay or religious groups. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors and supported by hundreds of friends who give much of their time and wealth throughout the year to assist in BVCF fundraising efforts. Every year the Foundation organized the benefit luncheons or dinners with silent and live auctions, and raffles. A lively family atmosphere blends different cultures and faiths in a single effort to help our very special children live promising lives in Vietnam.

National Alopecia Areata Foundation
