The Loretto Foundation

The Loretto Foundation is the not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to provide financial support by the solicitation of funds and property from the general public, charitable foundations and all other appropriate sources to help sustain Loretto's role as an innovator in long-term care, responsive to the diverse needs of an aging population. The Loretto Foundation also strives to heighten community awareness of Loretto, its programs and services in providing for the needs of older adults. The BC Cancer Foundation is the bridge that connects philanthropic support and research breakthroughs in cancer knowledge. Diabetes Foundation

The Diabetes Foundation (DF) has been empowering individuals struggling with prediabetes, type 1, type 2 or gestational diabetes since 1990. By providing access to critical resources and medication necessary to remain healthy, the Diabetes Foundation is a safety net for New Jersey residents in need. Our unique program serves children, parents, adults, and caregivers regardless of income or healthcare coverage. Our goal is to improve our participant's health by making it simpler to build a personalized healthcare plan that fits within the parameters in which they live. The generous support and funding from patrons and sponsors allows the Diabetes Foundation to offer our services to the community for free.

ST. JOSEPH'S HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION, HAMILTON

St. Joseph's Healthcare Foundation is known for building lasting, mutually rewarding partnerships that enable St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton, a multi-campus, teaching hospital, to provide the best in compassionate patient care and innovative medical research. In June 2011, the Foundation publicly launched Timeless Care, Tomorrow’s Discoveries – The Campaign for St. Joseph’s Healthcare, which will raise $75 million to support three vital projects at the hospital: the opening of a state-of-the-art surgical centre on the Charlton Campus; the creation of a new integrated mental health and medical care facility on the West 5th Campus; and the funding of vital healthcare research at St. Joe’s. These projects will touch the lives of two million Ontarians who live in the region served by St. Joseph’s.

AUTISM SPEAKS CANADA

Autism Speaks Canada is the leading autism organization in Canada dedicated to raising money to support autism research, awareness, advocacy and family/community services. Every dollar raised in Canada stays in Canada. Through Walk Now for Autism Speaks Canada Walk program and other events and fund raising activities, Autism Speaks Canada has granted over $6.5 million to the Canadian autism community from coast to coast since 1998. Since 2010, Autism Speaks Canada has granted over $1.5 million to Family/Community Services initiatives including Community Grants program, bilingual Community Services Database and a First 100 Days kit for families who children have just been diagnosed with autism.

ALZHEIMER SOCIETY OF MANITOBA

Currently, more than 20,000 Manitobans are diagnosed and one person out of every three is personally affected. The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba provides valuable programs and services for people affected by dementia, while funding research to help find a cure. The Society offers supportive counselling; caregiver education; support groups for people with dementia and for their caregivers; professional education; public awareness; the MedicAlert® Safely Home program; the First Link® program and more. The Alzheimer Society also plays an important role in advocating for change within our local, provincial and federal governments. By working to influence programs and services which directly impact people affected, the Society helps enhance the quality of life for people living with a diagnosis and the people who care for them.

ST JOSEPH'S HEALTH CENTRE FOUNDATION OF TORONTO

A strong community needs great health care close to home. Thanks to the generosity of donors, the Foundation supports the Health Centre’s remarkable physicians and staff as they take care of our community. Donations support facility renovations to our patient care areas. For example, support from donors helped build a new wing that opened in 2012. Donors also help purchase essential medical equipment, like a new endo-bronchial ultrasound that pinpoints lung cancer, and funds training for our dedicated health care professionals. Current priorities include renovating our patient spaces like lounges and waiting areas to make the more comfortable for patients and families; building a new Dialysis Centre; and building and equipping two new Interventional Suites in our Diagnostic Imaging department.

Niagara Health Foundation

OneFoundation for Niagara Health System is a non-profit organization that raises funds in support of the Niagara Health System hospital sites across the region. OneFoundation was formed in 2014 after the following Foundations joined together to better serve the needs of our community: Douglas Memorial Hospital Foundation; Greater Niagara General Hospital Foundation; Niagara Health System Foundat...ion; Port Colborne Hospital Foundation; St. Catharines General Hospital Foundation; and the Welland Hospital Foundation. Under this unified banner, we will continue working to make Niagara’s hospital services the best they can be. As one cohesive team with one voice, we will build on our current strengths and find even more creative ways to channel our efforts for the greater good of local healthcare.

Hydrocephalus Canada

Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of Ontario (SB&H) is a registered charity governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. SB&H provides direct support to individuals with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their families, conducts awareness and education programs, supports and promotes research, and works to ensure fair treatment and social justice for people with disabilities. Our vision is to facilitate the reduction and ultimate eradication of these conditions, and build a society that is sensitive, supportive and responsive to the needs of those living with or affected by these disabilities. SB&H is not government funded and generates 100% of its revenue through fundraising initiatives. A small complement of employees and a multitude of community volunteers carry out the Association's work. We are the only organization in Ontario addressing the needs of individuals and families affected by these serious, complex conditions.

Rethink Breast Cancer Canada

Our mission is to continuously pioneer cutting-edge breast cancer education, support and research that speak fearlessly to the unique needs of young (or youngish) women. We do this by: •Putting young women’s issues on the breast cancer agenda in a bold, upbeat way •Motivating young women to focus on breast health through risk reduction and early detection •Finding and forging new platforms to reach young people and creating high-impact, fear-free messaging •Filling gaps in support for young women with breast cancer •Funding timely research programs that foster young talent and reflect the unique issues associated with breast cancer in young women •Inspiring new generations of breast cancer supporters through dynamic special events and fundraising initiatives •Partnering with like-minded organizations to bring more awareness and resources to the cause

STOLLERY CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL FOUNDATION

As the recognized fundraiser for the Stollery Children’s Hospital, the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation is committed to enhancing health services for children. More than 210,000 patient visits happen at the Stollery Children’s Hospital each year…and that number is growing. Children who benefit from the Stollery’s services come not only from Edmonton, but also northern Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, the Northwest Territories, Yukon and Nunavut. Much of the work done at the Stollery Children’s Hospital is leading edge – literally the difference between life and death. Community support is crucial if we are to maintain this level of advanced care. Donations to the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation will help to purchase state-of-the-art equipment, support research to provide cures and treatments for childhood diseases, fund specialized pediatric health services & programs and recruit nationally and internationally renowned scientists and doctors.
