The mission of the Alabama Sheriffs Youth Ranches, Inc., is to operate and maintain Christian homes that provide residential care for young people in crises statewide without regard to race, creed, color or sex.

The mission of ADAKC is to improve the lives of Kern County Residents affected by Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. ADAKC takes deliberate actions aligned with its vision, that all in Kern County on the Alzheimer's journey have the help and support they need. ADAKC is steadfast in upholding its values: treating everyone with the compassion, dignity and respect of a family member and doing the right thing regardless of the situation. ADAKC’s focus is on caring for the whole-person (mind, body, and spirit) and improving quality of life. To accomplish this, ADAKC strives to remove barriers, identify and resolve unmet health needs, and engage the entire care team.

The Lions Eye Foundation of California-Nevada, Inc. (LEF) preserves and restores the gift of sight by providing free ophthalmic examinations, operations, and medication to the less fortunate members of our community.

The mission of Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area is to teach, care for, and connect with those in our community affected by Alzheimer's disease and other memory-related impairments.

Founded by Sam Sullivan in 1988, the Disabled Sailing Association of British Columbia (DSA) strives to increase the level of independence, motivation and quality of life for people with significant physical disabilities through the sport of sailing. DSA's operations are based out of the Jericho Sailing Centre on English Bay in Vancouver and operate annually from June through August. Our core program is designed to accommodate a range of disabilities and sailing skill levels. With the Sip 'n' Puff autohelm control system and the specially designed Martin 16 sailboat at the centre of our activities, even high quadriplegics -- those with little or no movement below the neck -- can sail independently and in complete safety. DSA is run by a highly trained and competent team of staff members and volunteers. We provide opportunities for recreational and competitive sailing as well as instruction for first-time, or novice, sailors.

The Lions Eye Bank of Delaware Valley is committed to enhancing a person's quality of life by restoring or improving vision through corneal transplantation, medical research and education.

Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island is a registered charity whose purpose is to raise funds to support the health and well being of children and youth in need on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Our roots go back to 1922, and we were previously known as the Queen Alexandra Foundation for Children. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and audited annually, funds are carefully allocated to facilities, services, programs, special projects and urgently needed medical equipment that help ensure children and youth develop to their full potential. Children mean the world to us.

To provide end-of-life care and support in a home or homelike setting for patients and their loved ones.

The St. Joseph's Hospice of Sarnia Lambton is a non-profit organization ready to extend a supporting hand and provide compassionate care to enhance quality and dignity of life for those diagnosed with a terminal illness and their families. Service is extended from time of diagnosis through bereavement. Established programs include the "Walking Companions" Bereavement Support Groups, complementary therapies (massage, hair care, manicure, pedicure, Reiki, therapeutic touch), "Food for Thought" Luncheons, resource library and the "Caring Hearts" Children's Grief and Bereavement program. A residential hospice will also be operational in 2008. Caring for the mind, body and spirit is essential to improving the quality of life. People of all cultures, ages and belief systems have unique needs to which the Hospice's specially trained staff will respond with compassion and respect. All services are available free of charge to registered clients.

Our mission is to find the cause(s) of AHC, develop effective treatments and ultimately find a cure, while providing support to the families and children with AHC by funding research to accomplish these goals. Through research, education and family support, we have ONE MISSION: END AHC Secondarily, we strive to promote proper diagnosis, educate health care professionals, the public and related organizations, encourage the worldwide exchange of information and advance the development of an international database of all AHC patients. The AHC Foundation (AHCF) is a dynamic organization of dedicated people that tirelessly work and advocate for their children to have a better quality of life. The foundation is the result of combining the International Foundation for Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood (IFAHC), founded in 1993, and the Alternating Hemiplegia Foundation (AHF), founded in 1995. Run by parents of children with AHC, we are a charitable 501(c)(3) organization with non-profit status and classified as tax exempt. Our Federal tax ID is 38-3225425, therefore donations made to AHCF are tax deductible. The organization has a Board of Directors, advised by a Medical Advisory board, that provides leadership, stewardship, and passion for the mission of the Foundation.

Friends of Patients at the NIH, formerly Friends of the Clinical Center, provides financial, logistical and social support to patients while they are receiving groundbreaking and life-saving treatments at the NIH Clinical Research Center. We cover unmet needs so that patients can focus on recovery, healing and fulfilling their crucial role partnering with NIH researchers in advancing knowledge, discoveries and breakthroughs.
