Homewood Foundation

Homewood Retirement Centers, Inc. is a non-profit organization for 2,000 residents at six retirement communities in Williamsport and Frederick, MD; in Hanover, Martinsburg, and Everett, PA; and, in Strasburg, VA. The Homewood Foundation, the fund-raising arm of the organization, raises approx. $2.0-$2.5 million a year for benevolent care, capital projects, and special projects. Alstrom Angels

Alström Angels is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit charity dedicated to raising funds for Alström Syndrome genetic and medical research, increasing awareness of the rare disease among the general public and medical communities, and improving family support for those affected by the Syndrome. Through the efforts and fulfillment of the Alström Angels mission, we strive to bring awareness to the individual illnesses and disabilities associated with Alström Syndrome that affect other children in our local community, and to provide a support base for other families battling rare and orphan diseases.

Pediatric Research And Advocacy Initiative

Today, 1 in 5 children suffer a severe mental impairment and very few are ever evaluated for immune-mediated inflammatory brain diseases. They exist to spread awareness of neuroimmune disorders, advocate for quality patient care, and support data-driven research that will ultimately lead to effective treatments and cures for these disorders. To accomplish this, PRAI raises and deploys donations to educate physicians and clinicians, fund groundbreaking scientific studies, enable parents to contribute to the scientific process through registering information in data repositories for trend analysis, and engaging in pilot projects through patient-centered research initiatives.

Michigan Parkinson Foundation

The Michigan Parkinson Foundation (MPF) is dedicated to people living with Parkinson's. We are an independent non-profit 501 c(3) charitable corporation that was founded in 1983. We are funded primarily by private contributions, memorials, and grants. Our mission is to educate and provide support to people with Parkinson's and related disorders, their loved ones and care partners, and the physicians and other allied health professionals who diagnose and treat those affected by the illness; to support research into the mechanisms underlying the disease and therapeutic strategies aimed at reducing the burden of illness; and to engage and enlist the support of institutions and individuals whose activities impact the needs of people with Parkinson's and related disorders.

Webster Comfort Care Home

Imagine you are dying and have no place to go, or that the burden on your family to care for you has become too great. Too many people are forced to die in a hospital or nursing home. Our vision is to provide a needed comfort care home for the terminally ill in Webster, New York. We believe in the hospice philosophy of care: all persons have the right to die with dignity, to have enhanced quality of life for the remainder of their days, and to be as comfortable as possible. Care would be provided in a loving, home-like atmosphere, free of charge to those in need. On-going funding will be generated through donations, memorial gifts, grants, and fundraisers.

AS AN INTEGRAL RESOURCE, THE SUCCESS COACH IN WESTERN NEW YORK WILL WORK DIRECTLY WITH EMPLOYEES OF HCS TO CONNECT THEM TO RESOURCES TO BUILD AND SUSTAIN HEALTHY LIVES THROUGH THE EMPLOYER RESOURCE NETWORK. INCREASING THE LIVABILITY AND ACCESSIBILITY OF RESIDENTIAL HOMES IS AN IMMEDIATE SAFETY CONCERN. HOME MODIFICATIONS ARE ESSENTIAL SO THAT PEOPLE CAN EVACUATE SAFELY IN AN EMERGENCY AND FACE THE CHALLENGES OF AGING WITH EQUITY. MORE THAN HALF OF THOSE WE SUPPORT ARE LIVING WITH MEDICAL COMPLEXITIES, AND MORE THAN 60% ARE MORE THAN 50 YEARS OLD.
