Since 1965, Little Friends has been dedicated to serving people with disabilities in our community. Long Island Alzheimer's And Dementia Center

The Long Island Alzheimer’s & Dementia Center is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of those impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and related forms of dementia — one person, one family, one community at a time. We offer a full range of caregiver services along with safe, structured and engaging programs for diagnosed individuals. Our stage-specific programs are designed around an individual’s abilities, not disabilities, on what they can still do, happily and productively, which allows us to bring out the best in every participant. In addition to our day programs Monday – Saturday, we offer innovative solutions for caregivers and families. For over 30 years, the Center has believed that until there is a cure, we are the best solution to find hope and support.

Central Florida Pediatric Therapy Foundation

Because building opportunities for people with disabilities strengthens the entire community, it is our vision to provide a place to live, work and play for everyone. We are committed to the idea that everyone has gifts that can impact others. It is our challenge to build venues and create opportunities for cooperative growth through the use of these gifts. Through FAITH we strive to cultivate: - Diversity: To draw ideas from each person’s unique perspective and use them as a catalyst for empowerment. - Personal Choice: To recognize the variety of individual needs and goals and support them when possible. - Awareness: We strive to be mindful of the diverse needs of others. People are challenged daily by things we take for granted. - Service: We are here to fulfill unmet needs wherever possible. We are at our best when we give.

Women's League Community Residences Inc

Makor Disability Services/Women’s League Community Residences is a professional organization committed to the philosophy that every person, regardless of his or her level of ability, must be treated with the utmost dignity and respect. It is our belief that every person with intellectual and developmental challenges should be afforded the opportunity to maximize his or her functional, social and intellectual potential. This is accomplished through appropriate, individualized, person-centered programming. In addition, each person should be living in an atmosphere of acceptance, warmth, understanding, and security that upholds the rights of each individual and provides developmental opportunities both individually and as a member of the community. It is our belief that personal growth flows first from an improved sense of self worth, and that all programming must be formulated toward this goal of self actualization. All of Makor/WLCR’s service environments continually encourage service participant choice and expression.

CPFQ Palestinian Child Sponsorship Program

The CPFQ Child Sponsorship Program is designed to build bridges between the Canadian community and Palestinian children living under occupation or in refugee camps. Children enrolled in our program live under conditions of extreme poverty and unemployment. Many of them live in densely populated refugee camps. A suitable infrastructure is absent, seriously threatening the physical and mental health of residents. Many children suffer from serious health problems and disabilities. Due to financial hardship, many have to leave school at a very young age to help support their families. The severe restrictions on employment and movement make the future of these children very bleak. In addition to providing much needed financial assistance, the program helps maintain stable and rewarding relationships between each child and their sponsor. This simple message of hope can offset some of the effects of the chaotic and insecure conditions in which they live.
