The APS Foundation of America, Inc. is the only United States nonprofit health agency dedicated to bringing national awareness to Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS), the major cause of multiple miscarriages, thrombosis, young strokes and heart attacks. We are a volunteer run, community based 501(c)3 non-profit Public Charity organization and is dedicated to fostering and facilitating joint efforts in the areas of education, support, public awareness, research and patient services. AshaUSA's m​ission is to provide culturally specific programs to the South Asian community t​​o foster health and harmony in their lives. Formed in July, 2014 in Minnesota, AshaUSA (Asha means hope) is a non-profit organization focused on engaging and empowering South Asian women, men, and children through culturally specific programs and services. Over 3.4 million South Asians (originally from India, Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) live in the United States out of which about 44,000 live in Minnesota (2010 census). 75% of South Asian Minnesotans are first generation immigrants. The South Asian population in Minnesota has more than doubled since 2000. With the increase in population, challenges associated with acculturation in terms of health, youth development, and family relationships have become more distinct. There is a need for culturally specific programs that proactively address acculturation challenges for the South Asian community in Minnesota. ​

The Kidney Foundation of Canada is the national volutneer organization committed to reducing the burden of kidney disease through: funding and stimulating innovative research; providing education and support; promoting access to quality healthcare; and increasing public awareness and commitment to advancing kidney health and organ donation.

The mission of the Brigance Brigade Foundation is to equip, encourage and empower people living with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis); they strive to improve the quality of life for them and their families by providing needed equipment, resource guidance and support services, in addition to funding various research initiatives. 90% of our grant funding supports families in the greater Maryland region; our ALS research and education awards are given to organizations with national impact and resources.
