The FamilieSCN2a Foundation

We are an organization created by parents of children diagnosed with rare forms of Epilepsy and Autism as a result of a change in the SCN2A gene. Our vision is to find effective treatments and a cure for SCN2A related disorders. Our mission is to improve the lives of those affected by SCN2A related disorders through research, public awareness, family support and patient advocacy. We are a registered 501(c)(3) organization.

The Women's Home

The mission of The Women's Home is to build communities that strengthen women and support families as they reclaim their stability. The Women's Home has worked to build whole lives in the Houston area since our creation in 1957. Our services focus on vulnerable households with a special emphasis on women and families. We have four unique programs -- a residential treatment program located near downtown, and two permanent housing programs and a collaborative service center in Spring Branch -- that offer tailored housing, behavioral health care, and wrap around support services to help women, children, and families build resilient lives.

The Fogarty Center

The Fogarty Center’s mission is to empower people to improve the quality of their lives. We support each individual to make choices, to build community connections and relationships, and to improve their status and skills. We realize that people are the authorities of their own lives and our role is to work together as they achieve their dreams and desires.

The Evanosky Foundation

The Evanosky Foundation exists for the purpose of generating funds to support two main objectives. It will support pediatric leukodystrophy research as well as assist and care for children and families affected by one of the leukodystrophies and/or other disabling conditions.

The Decibels Foundation

The Decibels Foundation's mission is to provide specialized early intervention, educational services, family support, and access to essential technologies for children with hearing loss from infancy through high school. The Decibels Foundation strives to ensure that every child with a hearing loss has the best chance to achieve to his or her full potential and to succeed in life.

The Glaucoma Foundation

The Glaucoma Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of people with glaucoma. The Foundation works to encourage and support basic and applied research in glaucoma with a goal to preserve and restore vision. We strive to be an important resource to help patients, their families, and at-risk individuals to manage their glaucoma through education and outreach.

The Kat6a Foundation

The KAT6 Foundation supports people and their families who are living with KAT6A and KAT6B syndromes around the world. We advance scientific research aimed at developing treatments and spread awareness of KAT6 syndromes so they can be more easily identified, treated and studied.
