Hudson Pride Connections Center (HPCC) is a home and voice for the diverse LGBTQ community and our allies that advocates for our physical, mental, social and political well-being. We create safe and vibrant spaces to gather and celebrate our lives. HPCC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-governmental, community organization situated in the Journal Square neighborhood in Jersey City, one of the most vibrant and diverse cities in this country and home to the largest LGBTQ community in New Jersey. Hudson Pride was established in 1993 to serve as an advocate for both the LGBTQ and HIV/AIDS communities in Hudson County and more than 20 years later, we are still delivering a wide array of services, programs and events to meet their on-going needs. Our programs and services include LGBTQ support groups for youth, young adults, middle adults and seniors, specialized groups for HIV+ gay men, transgender individuals and women of color, community training and education focused on helping provider agencies to deliver LGBT and HIV competent services, LGBTQ health education, HIV outreach services, social service linkages and advocacy.

Our mission is to promote equality and respect for all beings through practice and precept. In addition to our extensive animal rescue and animal care, we place a high priority on vegan advocacy through vegan cooking classes, and a strong online and media presence. Since 2017, MedGlobal has worked to build the capacity of healthcare systems within countries affected by armed conflict, natural disasters, a lack of resources, and climate change. We have worked with national healthcare systems and individual hospitals and health facilities to design training and education for their healthcare workers, to improve physical infrastructure, policies, and protocols, and to provide the medications, medical supplies, equipment, and technology that they need to treat their patients. MedGlobal’s culturally diverse teams respond to the world’s humanitarian crisis by partnering with communities to provide innovative, sustainable, and dignified healthcare.

Guided by a passion to educate and empower patients to pro-actively inquire about the short and long term side effects of prescription medicine before accepting them, MedShadow Foundation seeks to help people understand the risks & benefits of medicines and prompt discussions between the patient and health care provider. This includes asking deeper questions to a physician or pharmacist, looking at the pros and cons of prescription drugs, and if appropriate, exploring other options. We empower our readers to learn about prescription drugs and become an engaged advocate in their own health and wellbeing.

Our mission is to take swift and decisive action to protect and restore marine species and their habitats and to inspire people in communities all over the world to join us as active and vocal marine species advocates. The Sea Turtle Restoration Project (STRP), founded in 1989, TIRN's oldest and largest project, works to protect and restore endangered sea turtle populations worldwide in ways that meet the needs of the turtles and the needs of neighboring local communities using grassroots action, multimedia campaigns, hands-on conservation, environmental education, and litigation. STRP's sponsoring nonprofit is Turtle Island Restoration Network or TIRN.

Their mission is to create a welcoming community of FREE cancer support to bring knowledge, hope and empowerment to anyone impacted by cancer and their families. Red Door Dommunity (formerly Gilda’s Club New York City) creates welcoming communities of free emotional and social support for everyone living with cancer – adults, teens, children and their families. Our innovative program is an essential complement to cancer care, providing support groups, educational lectures, healthy lifestyle workshops and social activities. No one should face cancer alone. Our mission is to improve the health and quality of life for all people of the greater Pajaro Valley, especially the most disenfranchised. We do this by working “upstream” (before health problems occur or worsen) to help prevent future disease through education and disease prevention, as well as “downstream” (where problems require immediate intervention or treatment) to meet the most acute need for access to quality, culturally responsive services. In all our work, we collaborate with community members and agencies and rely on data to guide our decisions. In this way, we aim to pass on stronger systems and healthier lifestyles to future generations of Pajaro Valley residents.

Our mission is to reduce health disparities in minority communities with our unique approach to patient care and community involvement. In minority communities, many patients often don’t seek care or clash with the current system because of cultural differences. We work to integrate patients on the fringe of the healthcare system through culturally sensitive health literacy campaigns, community-based health screenings and our culturally conscious health education television program. It is only through partnership with the communities in which we serve that true transformation will occur and disparities can be reduced. We believe that it is possible for everyone to obtain the same quality care and our mission is centered on making this goal a reality."

The Center for Well-Being’s (CWB) mission is to improve the health and well-being of our community through evidence-based health practices and innovative programs that advance health equity for all. Our vision is to improve community health through inclusive and just policies, programs, and services. To achieve this, we offer specialty clinical services and community-based empowerment programs, and each year we serve over 25,000 individuals of all ages. Our clinical services include nutrition therapy and a cardiac rehabilitation center to help individuals achieve optimal health. At a community level, we promote whole-person wellness by engaging with residents and offering education, support, and access to resources to help them be well.

Open Wide Foundation is a non-profit dental organization redefining humanitarian dentistry. Our mission is to make a significant, measurable and lasting impact on oral health in communities of need. By combining the efforts of dental volunteers and industry leaders, we strive to impact oral health in a positive and lasting way. Together we: • Build permanent dental clinics in cooperation with the communities they serve to provide on-going access to oral care. • Provide and facilitate turn-key dental outreach experiences where volunteers can provide dental services to the needy & mentor local professionals and students. • Give access to on-going mentoring, educational materials and support to local oral health care providers, institutions & students.

The Charlotte Maxwell Clinic's mission is to support and empower low-income women with cancer by providing free access to compassionate, integrative care, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, massage, guided imagery, movement, and nutritional advice. These evidence-based modalities offer relief from the side effects of cancer and its treatments, and contribute to increased rates of survival and quality of life. They are rarely covered by insurance and are too costly for women living in poverty. Since 1991, CMC has provided integrative cancer care and health education free of charge to thousands of underserved women with cancer. Our vision is that all low-income women with cancer achieve the highest attainable health during their cancer journey.
