Arise Equine Therapy Foundation

Rising above life challenges through equine assisted therapy that facilitates learning and growth. Arise Equine Therapy Foundation utilizes the EAGALA and Natural Lifemanship therapy models of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP). We use a team approach comprised of a licensed Mental Health Professional, a certified Equine Specialist, the horse(s) and the client(s). Through hands on, experiential activities real life challenges are identified and addressed to equip the client with practical solutions. EAP easily adapts to a variety of populations and needs. Success is seen in clients with, but not limited to, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, grief, depression, and other behavioral and mental health needs. Our staff is equipped to provide services to youths, adults, individuals, families and groups.

AWB's mission is to interrupt the devastating effects of trauma by reducing suffering and helping individuals and communities find greater balance and resiliency. We use community-style ear acupuncture as a powerful, simple, safe way of helping people "reset" their nervous systems to a greater state of calm, quiet and clarity. Everything that we do at Back Bay Mission stems from our mission: strengthening neighborhoods, seeking justice, transforming lives.We strengthen neighborhoods through nine initiatives: the Micah Center (Day Center for the Homeless), Home at Last, (Permanent Supportive Housing), Rental Assistance, Emergency Assistance (Includes Food Choice Food Pantry) Community Health Worker Project, Bridges Out of Poverty education, Housing Recovery and Home Port (Housing for Veterans) Our programs are seeking justice by providing a way forward for those caught in generational poverty, those experiencing the devastation of life traumas and those who are victims of poor life choices. These programs assist the people we serve become contributing citizens in their communities, An annual average of 800 volunteers take what they learn at Back Bay Mission home with them where they have the opportunity to strengthen their own neighborhoods efforts in justice seeking. Justice seeking means supporting the people we serve in becoming more involved in their communities, educating people about the realities of poverty, and advocating on behalf of marginalized people..All of our programs transform lives. Whether we're helping a homeowner keep their home, mentoring a single mother as she plans her path out of poverty, or working with an intern who is thinking about a career in social work, we're making the lives of the people we serve better. Our work in transforming leads BBM to be catalyst in transforming individual lives that can transform our communities and the country.

Breast And Gyn Health Project

Vision Statement: Every member of our North Coast community will have access to a seamless network of care and feel supported and empowered when facing a breast or gynecologic cancer concern. Mission Statement: Breast and GYN Health Project is a grassroots community resource for those facing breast or gynecologic cancer concerns. We promote healthy survivorship through information, hope, and healing support, while encouraging each person to become their own best medical advocate. We advocate within our community to address breast and gynecologic cancer concerns responsibly and holistically. We are cancer survivors and support persons healing through service and bearing witness to others.

Greater New Orleans Teen Challenge

Louisiana Adult and Teen Challenge exists to provide men and women with an effective residential, biblically based solution to life-controlling problems. Our purpose is to produce graduates who function responsibly and productively in society, and who have healthy relationships in the workplace, family, church and community.
