Our mission is to take swift and decisive action to protect and restore marine species and their habitats and to inspire people in communities all over the world to join us as active and vocal marine species advocates. The Sea Turtle Restoration Project (STRP), founded in 1989, TIRN's oldest and largest project, works to protect and restore endangered sea turtle populations worldwide in ways that meet the needs of the turtles and the needs of neighboring local communities using grassroots action, multimedia campaigns, hands-on conservation, environmental education, and litigation. STRP's sponsoring nonprofit is Turtle Island Restoration Network or TIRN.

Their mission is to create a welcoming community of FREE cancer support to bring knowledge, hope and empowerment to anyone impacted by cancer and their families. Red Door Dommunity (formerly Gilda’s Club New York City) creates welcoming communities of free emotional and social support for everyone living with cancer – adults, teens, children and their families. Our innovative program is an essential complement to cancer care, providing support groups, educational lectures, healthy lifestyle workshops and social activities. No one should face cancer alone. New Alternatives for LGBT Homeless Youth was created in October, 2008 by a group of volunteers and professionals with experience working with homeless LGBT youth in various shelter and transitional housing settings. The mission of the organization is to increase the self-sufficiency of homeless LGBT youth to enable them to “go beyond” the shelter system and transition into stable adult lives. We do this by providing services such as case management, education services, life skills training, community-building recreational activities, opportunities for self-expression, and support services for HIV+ youth. Our guiding principles are those of harm reduction, youth development, and empowerment.

To develop a healthy world population by improving awareness through education and preventive program, as well as providing support for children’s health care. To develop a sense of service in the community by local service projects.

Network works with incarcerated men and women and those released from prison to help them rebuild their lives to avoid recidivism, and become responsible family members as well as productive, stable citizens in their communities. Network in the Prisons sponsors voluntary therapeutic communities within New York State correctional facilities to promote positive individual growth and change, encourage education and skills development, and foster a respectful connection to the larger society. Network in the Community offers therapeutic support and reentry services, both directly and through partnering community providers, individualized to ensure successful reintegration to the community.

Gateway Rehab, an Opioid Use Disorders Center of Excellence, is a private, not-for-profit organization that is a leader in the prevention, treatment, education and research off substance misuse and addiction. Their evidence-based treatment methods are founded on their philosophy that substance abuse is a chronic but treatable medical condition affecting millions of individuals. Gateway has been offering scientifically proven treatment methods such as Medication Assisted Treatment in conjunction with behavioral therapy and 12-step facilitation. Their experts provide therapy that is gender and age-specific in individual and group settings. Gateway Rehab's mission is to help all affected by addictive diseases to be healthy in body, mind and spirit.

Home of New Vision is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides gender-specific programs and specialized services to empower, protect, encourage, and enrich the lives of men, women, their families, and communities affected by the disease of addiction. We are committed to promoting change and awareness, and reducing stigma and shame, by providing a better understanding of recovery. Our philosophy is that substance use disorders are treatable, chronic diseases whose progression can be interrupted at any point. We believe that substance use disorder education, treatment, and support are effective ways to intervene in the progression and development of chemical dependency, and to allow for sustained, long-term recovery.

To promote the empowerment and independence of adults affected by mental illness or disorders with or without co-occurring substance-abuse by providing opportunity for social involvement, job skills, and self-directed recovery. The Gainesville Opportunity Center improves the lives of members and the greater Gainesville Community by 1) operating a work ordered day model that relies on the voluntary participation of its members; 2) supporting member employment and education; 3) developing innovative programs, research, and shared knowledge; 4) collaborating with others to inspire and teach about living with mental illness and disorders; and 5) advocating for people living with serious mental illness and disorders to improve perceptions and practices.

Our mission is to improve the health and quality of life for all people of the greater Pajaro Valley, especially the most disenfranchised. We do this by working “upstream” (before health problems occur or worsen) to help prevent future disease through education and disease prevention, as well as “downstream” (where problems require immediate intervention or treatment) to meet the most acute need for access to quality, culturally responsive services. In all our work, we collaborate with community members and agencies and rely on data to guide our decisions. In this way, we aim to pass on stronger systems and healthier lifestyles to future generations of Pajaro Valley residents.

Our main purpose is to educate our families about the hazards of heroin and other drug abuse, so we guide our children to take a path, which is free of devastation, incarceration and death; to help those who may be struggling with addiction, to lift them to a place of recovery and peace. This will only be accomplished by working together with our government leaders, the media, social networking sites, and utilizing all available resources. We can be a role model for others in our country to follow, as we stand united, as a community, to say……Not One More overdose.Not One More lost spirit.Not one more grieving heart.

Our mission is to reduce health disparities in minority communities with our unique approach to patient care and community involvement. In minority communities, many patients often don’t seek care or clash with the current system because of cultural differences. We work to integrate patients on the fringe of the healthcare system through culturally sensitive health literacy campaigns, community-based health screenings and our culturally conscious health education television program. It is only through partnership with the communities in which we serve that true transformation will occur and disparities can be reduced. We believe that it is possible for everyone to obtain the same quality care and our mission is centered on making this goal a reality."
