The mission of the Beacon House Association of San Pedro is to help men recover from the diseases of alcoholism or addiction to other drugs. The Association provides food, shelter, counseling, and the time to build a foundation in recovery and to return to family, home and community.

Since 1950, TLC-The Treatment and Learning Centers has been serving children and adults with special needs in the greater Washington, DC area through diagnostic, therapeutic, educational, and employment programs that meet the growing and changing needs of our community. TLC's mission is to improve lives and expand possibilities for children and adults with special needs. TLC's vision is to be a highly visible, leading edge organization with strong collaborative and advocacy relationships, and plentiful resources that support quality programs, staff, and facilities for individuals with special needs.

Together we're working to break the intergenerational cycle of addiction in families by educating, equipping, empowering, and celebrating individuals, families, faith leaders, and communities on their journey from addiction to recovery.

They inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum, which creatively integrates running. They envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.

Matt's Mission is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to end the stigma of drug addiction and to provide awareness of addiction as a disease, focusing on treatment, not punishment. Matt's Mission Vision - Individuals suffering from substance use disorders will be treated as patients of the healthcare system, not criminals. They will receive the treatment they desperately need and deserve without shame, stigma or judgment.

To prevent the harm being done to patients by physicians who lack the knowledge, skill, and training to recognize and treat addiction.

The Pacific Mesothelioma Center at the Pacific Heart, Lung and; Blood Institute’s mission is to better serve a growing number of mesothelioma victims by supporting the first-of-its-kind in the nation research lab which provides laboratory-to-the-bedside research that improve mesothelioma victims’ lives and longevity, particularly for those that approach malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) as a chronic, treatable disease: The exploration of innovative ideas forms the foundation of PMC’s unique research program and provides the promise of future treatment breakthroughs. With the opening of our new laboratory at 10780 Santa Monica, dedicated solely to mesothelioma research, and by choosing specific projects, we will get closer to finding better treatments and research that we hope will eventually lead to a cure. PMC is dedicated to educating the public on asbestos-related diseases and informing them of their best treatment options. PMC also connects newly diagnosed patients with patients that have been through treatment and provides assistance and emotional support.

Bridging the healing gap, leaving a legacy of healing for future generations. To end the cycle of complex relational trauma by providing the safety, life skills, relational education, and reparative experiences a survivor needs so they can create new habits and experience optimum health in every area of life.

Off the Mat, Into the World (OTM) is an international yoga and activism program that has actively engaged over 35,000 people since its launch in 2008. Off the Mat, Into the World uses the power of yoga to inspire conscious activists and ignite grassroots social change.
