Devon C Rubenstein Foundation

Devon C. Rubenstein Foundation raises funds for Montgomery County high school and middle school programs to promote mental well-being and prevent youth suicide. Suicide is the second leading cause of death among young adults between the ages of 18 to 24. On a national level, a young adult dies by suicide every forty (40) seconds, and, for every successful attempt, there are twenty (20) attempted suicides. DCRF is solely funding the Our Minds Matter Program (“OMM”), www.ourmindsmatter.org which is a powerful and proven student-based club that provides our youth the opportunity to create a social climate of social connectedness, healthy habits, and coping skills. The program also educates the students on how to identify suicide warning signs and reach out to peers The Devon C. Rubenstein Foundation (DCRF) was founded to help prevent suicide among young adults.

The Ruth Institute

The Ruth Institute is a global interfaith coalition equipping Christians to defend the family and build a civilization of love. Founded by world-renowned author, speaker, and academic Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, the Ruth Institute’s Resource Center provides decades of research and educational tools to support individuals and families harmed by divorce, the hook-up culture, and other forms of family breakdown. The Ruth Institute believes that: Every person has the right to know his or her cultural heritage and genetic identity. Every child has a right to a relationship with their natural mother and father except for an unavoidable tragedy. The Ruth Institute rejects the idea that a child is a problem to solve if you don’t want one and an object to purchase if you do want one. The Ruth Institute has a dream that every child be welcomed into life in a loving home with their own mother and father, married to each other. The Ruth Institute upholds the ancient Christian teachings about marriage, family, and human sexuality. These teachings are today sometimes regarded as exclusively “Catholic.” But in fact, Judaism, and most Christian groups, historically taught many of the same things. The Ruth Institute works with individuals and groups, religious or otherwise, who share our views, in whole or in part, regardless of their positions on other issues.
