The mission of The Samaritan Center at the Jersey Shore is to provide hope and resiliency by providing professional counseling and prevention education and awareness programs. We are a non-profit corporation established to provide individuals, couples and families with the inner strength and emotional resources to advance their emotional, spiritual, mental health and wellness with quality professional counseling and coaching services. All counseling is done by licensed professional mental health therapists in their private, professional office spaces.

The mission of The Women's Home is to build communities that strengthen women and support families as they reclaim their stability. The Women's Home has worked to build whole lives in the Houston area since our creation in 1957. Our services focus on vulnerable households with a special emphasis on women and families. We have four unique programs -- a residential treatment program located near downtown, and two permanent housing programs and a collaborative service center in Spring Branch -- that offer tailored housing, behavioral health care, and wrap around support services to help women, children, and families build resilient lives.

The Ulmer Institute

The Ulmer Institute (TUI) is a first of its kind organization dedicated to addressing urban psychological trauma in communities through Pre-TSD treatment, research, and training. Through the utilization of a culturally sensitive adaptation of Israeli innovative techniques and solutions, TUI endeavors to provide communities with tools for pre-emptive trauma prevention and treatment. TUI is also dedicated to advancing the body of work on urban trauma and solutions for redress.

The Warrior Connection

The Warrior Connection (TWC) provides residential retreats and services to Veterans and their families to heal the invisible injuries incurred while in uniform. TWC offers specialized programs for military men, women, and their families. Aside from a small commitment fee, programs and services provided by TWC are free and open to Veterans and families of all eras. The Warrior Connection is rehabilitating PTSD - breaking the cycle so the healing begins and can continue.
