Village Care Family Services Inc

Village Care Family Services, Inc. has been connecting with families providing services in virtually every community in the Philadelphia area for nearly 20 years. VCFS was developed based on a sincere interest in enhancing people’s —parents, grandparents, aunts/uncles, foster parents, etc.— capacity to utilize proven strategies, as well as create their own solutions to address the needs of their developmentally delayed or disabled children. Our reputation for providing caring, high quality, culturally sensitive services to children and their families has been recognized from our earliest days of our existence.

The Unicorn Childrens Foundation

Unicorn Children's Foundation is dedicated to creating cradle to career pathways for kids and young adults with developmental or learning challenges and helping their families navigate the complex journey. Neurodiversity encompasses a range of neurologically-based disorders such as autism, Asperger’s, ADHD, bipolar, dyslexia, and other learning disorders. We have chosen to view these disorders from a different perspective by seeing each child as uniquely capable and talented with specific strengths and interests that should be cultivated. In essence, every individual, regardless of his/her “disability”, deserves an opportunity to lead a fulfilled and productive life.

Empowering Children And Families

To help children and families construct and sustain a healthy foundation for the future. Empowering Children and Families advances our mission by providing a comprehensive “roadmap" unique to each family's strengths and challenges. The roadmap engages the entire family, requires demonstrated positive improvement, and provides much needed supports in the areas of mental health, education, social development, and family values. 100% of Empowering Children and Families funding comes from individual donors, community foundations, and corporate partners. This strategy leaves us free from government bureaucracy and political agendas. In the first year ECF will serve five families in the greater Bridgeport area. The staff of four is donating all of their time in the first year to supporting the mission of ECF.
