Right to Life of Michigan is a nonpartisan, nonsectarian, nonprofit organization of diverse and caring people united to protect the precious gift of human life from fertilization to natural death. We strive to achieve the passage and ratification of a Human Life Amendment, to educate people on identified Right to Life issues, to motivate them to action, to encourage community support and participation in programs and legislation that foster respect and protection for human life and to promote and support pro-life candidates. We work on behalf of defenseless or vulnerable human beings, born and unborn, within our identified life issues of abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, and assisted suicide.

Sister Song Women Of Color Reproductive Justice Collective

SisterSong’s mission is to amplify and strengthen the collective voices of indigenous women and women of color to achieve Reproductive Justice (RJ) by eradicating reproductive oppression and securing human rights. RJ is the human right to maintain personal bodily autonomy, choose when and how to have children or not, and parent in safety with adequate resources. RJ centers the needs and leadership of the most marginalized and the intersections of oppressions. The first RJ organization founded to build the movement, SisterSong includes and represents Indigenous, African American, Asian and Pacific Islander, Arab and Middle Eastern, Latinx, and queer women and trans people. A top RJ thought leader, trainer, organizer, and collaboration facilitator, our focus is Southern and national.

About Us: Our Bridgeport club was founded in 1992, and is part of Soroptimist International of the Americas which was founded in 1921. Soroptimist is an international volunteer organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world. A 501(c)(3) organization, Soroptimist relies on charitable contributions to fund its programs. Local members join with almost 100,000 Soroptimists in more than120 countries and territories to contribute time and financial support to community-based projects benefiting women. Soroptimist International has consultative status with the United Nations’ Economic and Social Council, which oversees U.N. activities promoting human rights. In addition to sponsoring the awards programs, our club has participated in community programs focused on various health and human service issues for women and girls, such as the Center for Women and Families, Mi Casa/My Home, Women and Men’s Health Project, Project Courage, and Local Soup Kitchens. Soroptimist is dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls in our local communities and throughout the world.  Founded in 1921, Soroptimist International of the Americas (SIA) is an international organization for business and professional women who provide volunteer service to their communities. About 35,000 Soroptimists in 20 countries and territories contribute time and financial support to community-based and international projects benefiting women and girls. SIA is part of Soroptimist International, which comprises almost 85,000 members in about 120 countries. New Opportunities For Wounded Widowed And Orphans Of War

As set forth in the Articles of Incorporation, the New Opportunities for Wounded, Widows and Orphans of War (NOW-WOW) shall, inter alia, conceive, study, investigate, formulate and implement programs and projects for one or more of the following charitable activities: * Rehabilitation of wounded, widows, widowers and orphans of wars who have lost sustenance due to wars; * Organizing and administering self-help projects for wounded, widows, widowers as a means of income-generation and self-sustenance; * Providing for the educational needs of war-affected children, such as school supplies and/or scholarships; * Functioning as a liaison between other charitable agencies, organizations and governments that are willing to provide for on the one hand, and, the poor and down-trodden living in the war-ravaged areas and in need of assistance with their living on the other hand; * Continuous monitoring of the living conditions of the general populace in the war-ravaged areas.
