JEWS FOR RACIAL AND ECONOMIC JUSTICE

For over 30 years, Jews For Racial & Economic Justice Community (JFREJ Community) has pursued racial and economic justice in New York City by advancing systemic changes that result in concrete improvements in people’s everyday lives. We are inspired by Jewish tradition to fight for a sustainable world with an equitable distribution of economic and cultural resources and political power. The movement to dismantle racism and economic exploitation will be led by those most directly targeted by oppression. We believe that Jews have a vital role to play in this movement. The future we hope for depends on Jews forging deep and lasting ties with our partners in struggle.

Oregon Interfaith Movement for Immigrant Justice

IMIrJ, the Interfaith Movement for Immigrant Justice accompanies and equips communities and people of faith to advance immigrant justice through direct accompaniment of immigrants facing detention and deportation, policy advocacy at local, state and national levels, and prophetic action. Founded in 2006, IMIrJ is in relationship with leaders from over 140 congregations throughout the state of Oregon. We are an organization made up diverse faith communities, faith leaders, and individuals called by our conscience to respond actively and publicly to the suffering of our immigrant brothers and sisters in the U.S. due to unjust immigration policies.Through advocacy, accompaniment, and organizing, we expose the harm that these policies and actions inflict on the entire community and take radical action for the transformation of power, providing real opportunities to take action for change. Just as we open our hearts to provide welcome and accompaniment to people facing persecution and oppression, we open our doors to offer Sanctuary for immigrants faced with family separation, detention, and/or deportation.

Institute For Justice & Democracy In Haiti

We are a partnership of Haitian and US human rights advocates. We support the Haitian people in their struggle to achieve universal human rights, access to a just legal system, social justice, a society without violence, and the right to participate fully in choosing their government. Using models like the US civil rights movement, we are active in the courts, both in Haiti and internationally, in the streets and in poor neighborhoods. We work in partnership with grassroots movements, to transform the structural injustices that stand in the way of stability and prosperity for the majority of Haitians.
