The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. We defend the rights of blind people of all ages and provide information and support to families with blind children, older Americans who are losing vision, and more. Founded in 1940, the NFB is the transformative membership and advocacy organization of blind Americans with affiliates, chapters, and divisions in the fifty states, Washington DC, and Puerto Rico. Together, with love, hope, and determination, we transform dreams into reality.

CBM (Christian Blind Mission) works in 80 of the world's poorest countries to prevent disabilities and offer life changing services to children and adults with disabilities.  CBM is an advocate for some of society's most vulnerable people and focuses on four types of disability: blindness/visual, hearing, physical, and mental impairment.  CBM provides relief, services, and advocacy for millions of people each year living with disability in absolute poverty.  Projects include eye hospitals and medical facilities, rehabilitation and therapeutic services, education programs through integrated schools and vocational training programs.

Established in 1986, The Sentencing Project works for a fair and effective U.S. criminal justice system by promoting reforms in sentencing policy, addressing unjust racial disparities and practices, and advocating for alternatives to incarceration. The Sentencing Project is dedicated to changing the way Americans think about crime and punishment.

The Chinese Progressive Association is a grassroots community organization which works for full equality and empowerment of the Chinese community in the Greater Boston area and beyond. Our activities seek to improve the living and working conditions of Chinese Americans and to involve ordinary community members in making decisions that affect our lives.

Prithipura Communities is a non-profit organisation, that works to enable individuals with disabilities reach their full potential and ultimately reintegrate into wider society, through providing a loving home, rehabilitation, education, training, and employment, and promoting the intrinsic value of all humans regardless of disability. The National Association of the Deaf was established in 1880 by deaf leaders who believed in the right of the American deaf community to use sign language, to congregate on issues important to them, and to have its interests represented at the national level. These beliefs remain true to this day, with American Sign Language as a core value. As a nonprofit federation, the mission of the NAD is to preserve, protect, and promote the civil, human, and linguistic rights of deaf Americans.The advocacy scope of the National Association of the Deaf is broad, covering the breadth of a lifetime and impacting future generations in the areas of early intervention, education, employment, health care, technology, telecommunications, youth development, and more.On the global front, the NAD represents the U.S.A. as an affiliate of the World Federation of the Deaf, an international human rights organization.

Our mission is to promote justice for refugees and immigrants through legal representation, advocacy, and education for the broader community. We opened our doors in June 2016 as the first nonprofit in the United States to focus on refugees and immigrants who are eligible for Social Security disability benefits. We called ourselves Refugee Disability Benefits Oregon (RDBO). Legal representation for disability cases is still a primary focus. Our attorneys work closely with healthcare providers, case managers and counselors to ensure that our refugee and immigrant clients’ cases are presented competently and compassionately. We handle cases at every step of the disability process. We represent refugees and immigrants, including those who have become U.S. citizens.

The Arc of Texas promotes, protects, and advocates for the human rights and self-determination of Texans with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
