The Smiles Forever mission is to break the cycle of poverty by vocationally training young indigenous women to be dental hygienists in Cochabamba, Bolivia. We recognize women as the first socialization factor in the family. Enabling them to become financially self-sufficient, we are both creating female community leaders and bettering the lives of their children. Students give back to their community by providing free dental care at the school, burn center and rural communities.

The mission of the Kansas DUI Impact Center (KSDUI) is to serve victims of impaired driving and their families, while increasing awareness of the traumatic consequences of vehicular crime committed under the influence of drugs and alcohol through community outreach, education, and prevention, to reduce DUI offender recidivism as result of the DUI Victim Panel, and to positively impact social perception of impaired driving eliminating subsequent serious injury and death increasing public safety.

The mission of Darkness to Light is to empower people to prevent child sexual abuse. The ultimate mission of D2L, to end childhood sexual abuse, can only be accomplished by sharing the solution of prevention, awareness and education with more and more people. This, in turn, builds momentum and over time, changes the way our nation and culture cares for, protects and nurtures our children. Being an active participant in the mission to end childhood sexual abuse is one of the most rewarding things we will ever do. We believe that learning the facts about childhood sexual abuse helps prevent it. Talking about it helps prevent it. Getting involved helps prevent it. The truth is, if childhood sexual abuse can be prevented, it can be stopped. That’s why D2L exists – to empower adults through awareness and educational programs to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to childhood sexual abuse.

We work for positive, constructive solutions to help stabilize the lives of homeless people and provide them an opportunity to become productive citizens. Our work addresses the underlying causes of homelessness: the lack of housing, income, social services, and civil rights. Arts To End Genocide combines the power of art and technology to bridge cultural divides and to create a dialogue about human rights between children around the world. Globe Smart Kids uses technology to help children grow up feeling safe, happy and excited about interacting with diverse people and in diverse contexts. Our mission is to tackle prejudice before it begins. We make One Globe Kids: engaging, evidence-based education materials designed to encourage cross-group friendship while meeting standards in Language and Social Studies (English, History, Geography, Citizenship) for children 4 - 10 years.
