WOMENS RESOURCE CENTER - OCEANSIDE

Women's Resource Center (WRC) believes that all people should be free from the crimes of domestic violence and sexual assault. Those who are victims of these crimes should have access to services that assist them in recovering from their trauma and moving forward in their lives. Women's Resource Center is dedicated to providing the highest quality supportive services, counseling, shelter and education to women, men and children involved in or threatened by domestic violence or sexual assault. Women's Resource Center vision is that the agency is the recognized leader in providing quality, compassionate, innovative services to families affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. Through Women's Resource Center's education of future generations, victim empowerment and community awareness, we will create an environment where domestic violence and sexual assault are neither tolerated nor accepted. Women's Resource Center's Core Values support the agency's mission and drive program planning toward the achievement of our vision. Specifically: 1) Domestic violence and sexual assault are always wrong and must be stopped.; 2) These crimes impact the entire community and the community has a moral obligation to take ownership of the problem and its solutions.; 3) Everyone has a right to live in a violence-free home where they are treated with respect and dignity.; and, 4) Victims can be empowered to enhance their lives.

Richmond Peace Education Center

Since 1980, the Richmond Peace Education Center has been an unwavering voice for peaceful conflict resolution, social justice, and nonviolent social change in the Richmond, Virginia region. Over the years the center has evolved, developing new programs and areas of focus to meet new concerns. Today the Richmond Peace Education Center is working actively to build a more peaceful and just community and world. Through its workshops, public events, youth programs, and conflict resolution training, RPEC is making a difference in the region. In the past two years alone, the center has organized or co-sponsored nearly 100 events and programs involving thousands of participants, and its impact is growing. From the beginning, RPEC has been a grassroots, member-supported organization. We simply could not do what we do without the participation and support of community members like you. CENTER OF HOPE - COLUMBIA

As a leading resource for system change, Center of Hope’s goal is to provide meaningful and effective support while addressing the attitudes and behaviors which allow violence to continue in our community. Our comprehensive program ensures that the needs of the victims we serve are met in a holistic and compassionate manner by equipping and empowering them with the skills they need to move beyond the trauma and onto the fulfilling lives they deserve.

Louisiana Crisis Assistance Center

The Louisiana Capital Assistance Center (LCAC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization providing legal representation to poor people charged with capital crimes in Louisiana for over twenty years. Committed to excellence in capital defense, the LCAC emphasizes client-centered representation, constantly seeks to develop new and innovative advocacy strategies, and pursues systematic litigation related to issues such as racism in the criminal justice system and lack of funding for adequate representation. Our primary focus is trial-level representation but we also represent indigent capital defendants in appellate, post-conviction and habeas proceedings. The LCAC also conducts trainings and provides consult services to local capital defenders statewide. In each aspect of our work we strive to meet the LCAC’s four core values: achieving excellence; being client-centered; a spirit of service; and humility. Based in New Orleans, the LCAC works throughout the state of Louisiana, as well as serving clients in Mississippi and Texas.
