CALICO achieves justice and healing for abused children and for adult victims with developmental disabilities. Its mission is to provide a supportive environment to interview victims and facilitate a collaborative response to abuse in which the needs of victims take precedence. It promotes the safety and well-being of all children.

Texans Care For Children works to improve the lives of Texas children by building commitment and action for improved public policy and programs. Texans Care For Children is dedicated to the belief that the society can do better for the children. It is not just the right thing to do; it is the smart thing to do, because the well-being of Texas is tied to the well-being of its children. They know that many Texans share their vision, and by raising their voices together, they can improve the lives of their children and the success of their state.

SurvJustice increases the prospect of justice for survivors of sexual violence by providing survivor assistance and holding both perpetrators and enablers accountable. Our work focuses on the enforcement of victims’ rights within campus, administrative, civil, and criminal processes. SurvJustice also empowers activists who seek systematic change in their communities by providing resources and guidance. We offer a variety of comprehensive trainings as well as policy development for institutions responding to sexual violence, working on all fronts to decrease the prevalence of sexual violence.

Voices For Children raises funds to support Miami-Dade's Guardian Ad Litem Program in their efforts to recruit, train, and support Guardians Ad Litem, court appointed volunteers who serve as advocates for the best interests of abused, abandoned, and neglected children involved in dependency court proceedings. Additionally, Voices For Children provides direct financial assistance and other resources to meet these children's medical, educational, and social needs.

About Us: Our Bridgeport club was founded in 1992, and is part of Soroptimist International of the Americas which was founded in 1921. Soroptimist is an international volunteer organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world. A 501(c)(3) organization, Soroptimist relies on charitable contributions to fund its programs. Local members join with almost 100,000 Soroptimists in more than120 countries and territories to contribute time and financial support to community-based projects benefiting women. Soroptimist International has consultative status with the United Nations’ Economic and Social Council, which oversees U.N. activities promoting human rights. In addition to sponsoring the awards programs, our club has participated in community programs focused on various health and human service issues for women and girls, such as the Center for Women and Families, Mi Casa/My Home, Women and Men’s Health Project, Project Courage, and Local Soup Kitchens. Thorn builds technology to defend children from sexual abuse. We believe that every child has the right to be safe, to be curious, to be happy. We work with the sharpest minds from tech, non-profit, government and law enforcement to stop the spread of child sexual abuse material, stand up to child traffickers and uncover new kinds of abuse. Technology is a powerful tool. We choose to use it for good. Our programs and products find child abuse victims faster, make online environments safer, and deter criminal behavior.

The National Network to End Domestic Violence Fund is a social change organization dedicated to creating a social, political, and economic environment in which violence against women no longer exists.

The Tegan and Sara Foundation fights for health, economic justice and representation for LGBTQ girls and women. This mission is founded on a commitment to feminism and racial, social and gender justice. In partnership and solidarity with other organizations fighting for LGBTQ and women's rights, the Foundation raises awareness and funds to address the inequalities currently preventing LGBTQ girls and women from reaching their full potential. This work is critically important because… LGBTQ women have higher rates of gynecological cancer, depression, obesity, suicide and tobacco/alcohol abuse. Discriminatory laws, provider bias, insurance exclusions and inadequate reproductive health coverage leave 29% of LGBTQ women struggling to pay for health insurance. A quarter of lesbian women live in poverty. LGB women of color are three times more likely to live in poverty than their white peers. Transgender women are four times more likely to have a household income under $10,000 and twice as likely to be unemployed. One in five transgender women has reported being homeless at some point. Less than 1% of TV characters are lesbians. In 2016, 25 queer female characters were killed on-screen – continuing a decades-long trend.

Women's Resource Center (WRC) believes that all people should be free from the crimes of domestic violence and sexual assault. Those who are victims of these crimes should have access to services that assist them in recovering from their trauma and moving forward in their lives. Women's Resource Center is dedicated to providing the highest quality supportive services, counseling, shelter and education to women, men and children involved in or threatened by domestic violence or sexual assault. Women's Resource Center vision is that the agency is the recognized leader in providing quality, compassionate, innovative services to families affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. Through Women's Resource Center's education of future generations, victim empowerment and community awareness, we will create an environment where domestic violence and sexual assault are neither tolerated nor accepted. Women's Resource Center's Core Values support the agency's mission and drive program planning toward the achievement of our vision. Specifically: 1) Domestic violence and sexual assault are always wrong and must be stopped.; 2) These crimes impact the entire community and the community has a moral obligation to take ownership of the problem and its solutions.; 3) Everyone has a right to live in a violence-free home where they are treated with respect and dignity.; and, 4) Victims can be empowered to enhance their lives.

This domestic violence awareness organization's purpose is to help, support, educate and bring awareness to victims known and unknown. Our goal is to educate, prevent and encourage others in hopes to turn victims into survivors.

The mission of the Asian Women’s Shelter (AWS) is to eliminate domestic violence by promoting the social, economic and political self-determination of women and all survivors of violence and oppression. AWS is committed to every person’s right to live in a violence-free home. AWS works with all survivors and has specific expertise to address the cultural and language needs of Asian and other immigrant and refugee survivors, as well as others who face barriers to accessing existing sources of safety and support. In order to address how domestic violence is compounded for survivors and communities as it combines with sexism, classism, racism, homo/bi/transphobia, xenophobia, ableism and ageism, AWS operates through a margin-to-center anti-oppression framework that can create holistic and lasting change toward peace. This perspective is reflected in our broad strategy that integrates culturally relevant and language-accessible shelter and transitional services, training and capacity-building programs, systems and public policy work, and community mobilization initiatives and advocacy.
