Breaking Free is a Minnesota-based non-profit and social justice/social change organization founded in 1996 by Vednita Carter. Every year, Breaking Free helps over 500 women escape systems of prostitution and sexual exploitation through advocacy, direct services, housing, and education. Our main offices are located in St. Paul, Minnesota, with a branch in Minneapolis. Breaking Free's doors are open to women throughout Minnesota and the United States.

Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona

Free Arts uses the healing powers of the arts to help abused and homeless children build resiliency and learn to trust and heal. All of the children in Free Arts programs have experienced combinations of family trauma, homelessness, and violence. To begin to heal, they need services including mentoring, a caring community, and an opportunity to learn new skills and express themselves.

The Hunger Project

To end hunger and poverty by pioneering sustainable, grassroots, women-centered strategies and advocating for their widespread adoption in countries throughout the world. The Hunger Project carries out its mission through three essential activities: mobilizing village clusters at the grassroots level to build self-reliance, empowering women as key change agents, and forging effective partnerships with local government.

The Afiya Center

The Afiya Center's (TAC) mission is to serve Black womxn and girls by transforming their relationship with their sexual and reproductive health through addressing the consequences of reproductive oppression. We aim to achieve our mission through providing refuge. education, and resources. TAC is the only Reproductive Justice (RJ) organization in North Texas founded and directed by Black women. Our center is taking part in the greater fight to provide every woman with their right to health care.

The Miss America Foundation

The Miss America Foundation strives to change lives and influence young women across the country and around the world. We proudly offer academic and community-based scholarships for undergraduate and graduate studies, as well as endowed scholarships for those young women attending medical school, working in special areas for military service awareness, STEM, and in the performing arts. The Miss America Foundation, Inc. is a New Jersey not-for-profit corporation that provides academic scholarships to young women. MAF is duly recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization by the Internal Revenue Service. As such, any donation to the Foundation is tax deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law. building scholarships to prepare great women for the world and the world for great women.
