A free and democratic press willing to explore the role of religion as an essential part of public life is one of the founding principles of The Media Project. The mission of 501c(3) organization includes helping journalists develop the skills needed to engage in an intellectually honest and critical approach to subjects related to religion, ethics and values to enrich and deepen coverage of religion -- regardless of the reporter's personal faith. Since it's founding, The Media Project has developed a worldwide network of journalists who often submit ideas for conferences and workshops most needed in the countries in which they live and work. The programs are open to journalists of all faith traditions.

GAPPS' Mission is to Improve Birth Outcomes Worldwide. Globally, prematurity is the leading cause of death for newborns. Additionally, each year a staggering 2.6 million infants die just minutes or hours before birth — and in many cases of stillbirth, the loss is compounded when the mother also dies. GAPPS is leading a collaborative, global effort to increase awareness and accelerate innovative research and interventions that will improve maternal, newborn and child health outcomes around the world.

The Mission of the Nantucket Maria Mitchell Association is promotion of the legacy of Maria Mitchell and exploration, education and enjoyment of Nantucket’s land, waters and skies beyond. In fulfilling our mission we recognize the historic persona of Maria Mitchell, the foremost American woman scientist and educator of the 19th century, and her potential impact on contemporary thought by passing on her legacy of intellectual curiosity, respect for and love of nature, learning by doing, and the ideal of individualism. Maria Mitchell’s contributions to astronomy, science, and education are the basis for our continuing tradition of high quality research and teaching which inspires today’s learners and tomorrow’s scientists. The NMMA provides scientific resources and educational programs for the community, uses Nantucket Island as an exceptional natural laboratory in which to study science and the environment, and maintains research and/or representative collections of Nantucket’s biodiversity. We strive to delight our members, supporters, and visitors by providing high quality programs, services, and facilities. We strive to ensure our financial viability and the preservation of our buildings and important collections so that current and future generations can share in this legacy. We strive to collaborate with other institutions (both on- and off-island) to share relevant organizational assets to accomplish these objectives, obtain cost efficiencies, and reduce our impact on the environment.

The Movimento de Saude Mental Comunitaria do Bom Jardim (MSMCBJ) was initiated in 1996 as part of the outreach of the Comboni Missionaries in the Northeast of Brazil. MSMCBJ seeks to improve the lives of the people of the economically impoverished peripheral regions of Fortaleza, primarily the area of Grande Bom Jardim. To imagine a mental health project in a peripheral neighborhood like Bom Jardim, where the majority of people live in at-risk circumstances - in which extreme poverty, violence, a lack of housing and basic sanitation, street children, and unemployment predominate - is to believe that, even within pain and suffering, we can harvest flowers. That is, personal and social realities can be transformed. The challenge that MSMCBJ has been overcoming throughout its years of community action has been to demonstrate that, through the Community Systemic Approach, working with people's self-esteem results in greater self-awareness, which empowers people to create paths of liberation, thanks to the sense of participation and co-responsibility that MSMCBJ activities favor. The Movimento de Saude Mental Comunitaria do Bom Jardim welcomes the human being, respecting their bio-psycho-socio-spiritual dimensions, promoting the development of their potential, through the restoration of human rights and cultural values, with the goal of improving the quality their personal, interpersonal, and community relationships, for the promotion of the gift of life. To assist high achieving low income students pursue an education through enhancing access to scholarships, mentorship, and career guidance.

Zartonk-89 strives to support community development, help single parent, parentless and needy children, teenagers and youth to solve their educational, social, health, juridical problems, provide them with mental, physical development and life improvement.

The Public-Private Alliance Foundation (PPAF), a non-profit organization, promotes the United Nations Global Goals and a business approach for poverty alleviation through projects and seminars involving multi-stakeholder cooperation. PPAF engages in work on clean cookstoves and fuel, agribusiness, public health, microfinance & remittances, renewable energy and other aspects of sustainable development.

The Fundacion Oir es Vivir was founded in 2008 to serve as a bridge for the hearing impaired population who are seeking a solution for their disability and lack the knowledge, resources, and financial means. The Foundation has done strong advocacy for early hearing detection and intervention program in the newborn and hearing screening test in preschool and school children. In the older population the Foundation also educates the importance of quality of life through the ability to hear and understand the sounds of life, and the importance to remain connected socially and environmentally.
