Leytonstone School is an over-subscribed and successful co-educational comprehensive school for pupils aged 11 to 16. It enjoys a proud place in the local community stretching back over a century to its inception in 1911 when it first opened as Leyton County High School for Girls. Leytonstone School is a safe space where our pupils develop their ambitions and the life skills with which they will achieve them. Our school motto is 'Great things will grow' and we truly believe that the creation of an optimum educational experience will lead to all our pupils leaving the school as highly qualified, kind and confident young people with a wealth of experience of the wider world.
Management of Stanwick Lakes Country Park as a social enterprise, and Twywell Hills and Dales, both in Northamptonshire(both SSSI sites) Educational and heritage programmes for schools and communities linked with our environmental conservation and heritage work. Health and well-being activities which reach out to those at disadvantage who most benefit from contact with the natural world.
The purpose of the BSA is to raise funds to enhance the education of pupils at Brookhurst School. Last year's fundraising activities included a fireworks display, a sponsored bounce, a summer fair and a Quiz Night, as well as sales of 2nd-hand uniform and Christmas cards. We received extra income from Britvic as part of their corporate responsibility scheme and also from the local Round Table.
