Sunflower of Peace is a US-based non-profit organization whose current mission is to provide medical and humanitarian aid for people affected by violence in Ukraine. Sunflower of Peace started its first fundraiser in 2015 with a purpose of helping people who were affected by violence in Ukraine. As our organization grew bigger, we started providing help to orphans, internally displaced persons, and, recently, those most affected by COVID-19 in Ukraine. We fundraised thousands of US dollars and provided hundreds of medical workers in Ukraine with equipment they lacked in the times of drained resources and even larger needs. We also provided numerous educational opportunities for talented Ukraine genetics scientists.
The Council for Economic Education (CEE) is the leading organization in the United States that focuses on the economic and financial education of students from kindergarten through high school. For the past 60 years, of our mission has been to instill in young people the fourth “R”—a real-world understanding of economics and personal finance. We carry out our mission by providing professional development to teachers, teaching resources across the curriculum and nationally-normed assessment tools. We deliver our programs through in-person local workshops, partner organizations and online. Founded in 1983 as a soup kitchen, Miriam's Kitchen has evolved over the years to provide more than meals. Today, Miriam's Kitchen is a critical player in the fight to end chronic homelessness in DC. On the direct services level, we help our guests improve their health, increase their income and obtain housing through a range of programs and partnerships. Founded in 1998, Somerset Hills Learning Institute is a private non-profit program that offers a broad spectrum of services to children, adolescents, and adults with autism. The Institute is a dissemination site of the Princeton Child Development Institute and exists to provide science-based treatment and education to people with autism. Somerset Hills Learning Institute will prepare professionals as future autism intervention resources in New Jersey, and through its research, pioneer comprehensive intervention models that may be used nationally and internationally for the benefit of people with autism.
