The Community FoodBank of New Jersey's mission is to fight hunger and poverty in New Jersey by assisting those in need and seeking long-term solutions. We engage, educate and empower all sectors of society in the battle. Working together with volunteers, donors and our many partners, we work to fill the emptiness caused by hunger with Food, Help and Hope.

The Foundation seeks sustainable solutions to longterm problems of poverty, with special emphasis on the needs of rural communities in mountainous and other resourcepoor areas. Priority is given to integrated approaches that are communitybased, participatory and innovative, and reinforce civil society and respect local culture. The geographic focus of the Foundation’s work is in East Africa and South and Central Asia.

Second Harvest Food Bank is leading our community in the fight to end hunger. We provide food, services, and education to address nutritional needs of all people at risk in an 18-county service area, including: Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Claiborne, Cocke, Cumberland, Fentress, Hamblen, Grainger, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Scott, Sevier, and Union. Food banks are by far the single most important source of food for nonprofit agencies in East Tennessee, accounting for 78% of the food distributed by pantries, 68% of the food distributed by soup kitchens, and 54% of the food distributed by shelters and drug-rehab centers. Many of the agencies who feed the hungry would not be able to keep their doors open were it not for Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee. Second Harvest Food Bank provides the following services to meet the needs of our communities: 1) Distributes over 15 million meals of food annually through six major food-distribution programs. 2) Recovers 8 million pounds of perishable foods that would otherwise be discarded, and redistributes that food to local soup kitchens, food pantries, and senior facilities who directly serve the hungry. 3) Provides supplemental food for over 12,150 elementary school children over the weekends during the school year. 4) Collaborates with Knox County Community Action Committee and the Senior Citizens Home Assistance Service Inc. to meet the nutritional needs of approximately 950 seniors through our Senior Outreach. 5) Administers Federal Food Programs (USDA) for local agencies. 6) Provides education for partners agencies, including ServSafe training.

City Harvest exists to end hunger in communities throughout New York City. We do this through food rescue and distribution, education, and other practical, innovative solutions.

Founded by renowned primatologist Jane Goodall, the Jane Goodall Institute is a global nonprofit that empowers people to make a difference for all living things. Our work builds on Dr. Goodall’s scientific work and her humanitarian vision. The mission of the Project HOME community is to empower adults, children, and families to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, to alleviate the underlying causes of poverty, and to enable all of us to attain our fullest potential as individuals and as members of the broader society. We strive to create a safe and respectful environment where we support each other in our struggles for self-esteem, recovery, and the confidence to move toward self-actualization. Project HOME achieves its mission through a continuum of services comprised of street outreach, a range of supportive housing, and comprehensive services. We address the root causes of homelessness through neighborhood-based affordable housing, economic development, and environmental enhancement programs, as well as through providing access to employment opportunities; adult and youth education; and health care. Project HOME is committed to social and political advocacy. An integral part of our work is education about the realities of homelessness and poverty and vigorous advocacy on behalf of and with homeless and low-income persons for more just and humane public policies. Project HOME is committed to nurturing a spirit of community among persons from all walks of life, all of whom have a role to play in making this a more just and compassionate society.

Established in 1983, the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center is at the heart of the LGBT community in New York City, providing quality health and wellness programs in a welcoming space that fosters connections and celebrates our cultural contributions. We strive to serve the LGBT community with a full-service, multi-faceted approach to programming, from hosting arts and entertainment events, advocacy groups and family gatherings to offering youth, recovery and overall wellness programs. 

Fiji Dental and Medical Foundation, Inc.'s mission is to promote dental and medical health in the Mamanuca island chain of Fiji through prevention education, and restoration. The organization's primary program provides dental and medical clinics.

At the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, we believe that we have a responsibility to be the voice of foster care adoption, so that every child finds a family. We exist to find homes for children who are waiting to be adopted from foster care in North America. In the process, we work to inform adults who may have misperceptions about foster care adoption that keep them from getting involved. Through the money we raise, we are able to provide free educational resources, promote awareness, assist policymakers and employers, and support adoption professionals and agencies throughout the United States and Canada to ensure that every child finds a forever home.

Jitegemee, which means “sustain yourself” in Kiswahili, is a grassroots nonprofit that provides formal and vocational education to street children and destitute youth in Kenya. Jitegemee is dedicated to removing the obstacles that prevent street children from attaining their educational goals.

Monarch School Project nurtures resilience in unhoused youth and their families. We empower students to influence their own growth in the areas of academic success and social emotional learning. We reinforce the existing strength of families so that students can thrive in school and in life.
