Achon Uganda Children's Fund

Mission The Achon Uganda Children's Fund (AUCF) was established in 2007 by two-time Olympic runner Julius Achon in response to the dire situation faced by the residents of his home village, Awake, in Otuke District in Northern Uganda. Ravaged by the brutal Lord's Resistance Army during Uganda's two-decade civil war, the region's residents are rebuilding their lives and community - facing inadequate healthcare and education, and many children have been left without family. AUCF is committed to helping the community rebuild through improved health care and education, access to the life-enriching benefits of exercise and sport and overall self-sufficiency.

Green Valley Community Fund

Mission: The Greater Green Valley Community Foundation changes and enriches lives through guidance, education, and financial support for charitable organizations serving our communities. Vision: We strive to improve the quality of life for present and future generations in our area. Service Area: Green Valley is located in South Pima County along the I-19 corridor south of Tucson. The area is home to families, retirees, ranches and many growing businesses. This diversity allows the Greater Green Valley Community Foundation to focus on older adults, healthcare, children, housing, education, the environment, animals and the arts. Grantmaking reflects the uniqueness of the Foundation which serves the towns of Green Valley, Sahuarita, Amado, Arivaca, Tubac, Tumacacori and the surrounding area. Building a Community: In 1998, the Greater Green Valley Community Foundation merged with the Green Valley Community Fund which had been operating since 1970 serving local residents and organizations. Our goal is to build community now and for many years to come by bringing people and organizations together around local issues and opportunities. The GGVCF has an unrestricted endowment fund. Our local board and staff have an in-depth understanding of the concerns and resources that shape our community, and we are dedicated to continue building this permanent endowment or savings account to serve the Green Valley areas long-term needs through local grant-making. We also provide technical assistance and training to encourage these local community organizations to grow and extend their reach.

Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund

The mission of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) is to honor and preserve the legacy of service and educate all generations about the impact of the Vietnam War. Based in Arlington, Virginia, VVMF is the nonprofit organization authorized by the U.S. Congress in 1980 to build a national memorial dedicated to all who served with the U.S. armed forces in the Vietnam War. Incorporated on April 27, 1979 by a group of veterans led by Jan C. Scruggs, the organization sought a tangible symbol of recognition from the American people for those who served in the war. The result was the Vietnam Veterans Memorial (commonly referred to as The Wall), which has become one of the most visited memorials in Washington, D.C. with an estimated 5.6 million annual visitors.

J Street Education Fund

J Street represents Americans, primarily but not exclusively Jewish, who support Israel and believe resolving the conflicts with its neighbors diplomatically is essential to securing its future as a democratic and Jewish homeland.  We support the right of the Palestinians to a sovereign state of their own and believe that the only sustainable answer to the conflict – and the only way to achieve long-term security for Israel – is to realize a future where both peoples are able to live side-by-side in peace and security. This goal is in the best interest of Israel, the United States, the Palestinians and the region as a whole.
