Butler Meals on Wheels, Inc. Mission Statement Butler Meals on Wheels, Inc. is a not-for-profit freestanding organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The purpose of Butler Meals on Wheels, Inc. is to provide excellent, nutritious, home delivered meals to individuals in need within the service area comprising Butler city and it's environs. The meals are provided to maintain adequate nutrition for those recuperating from illness and suffering impaired functional ability. Butler Meals on Wheels, Inc. strives to maintain clients in their homes for as long as possible, preventing institutionalization.No resident of the Butler Meals on Wheels, Inc. service area will be denied service, or otherwise be discriminated against, based on race, color, national origin, gender, income or on any other basis. However, no person will be admitted for service unless he meets the eligibility requirements as established by the Board of Directors. Individuals referred for service will be admitted based on priority, according to needs and the adequacy and availability of personnel and resources to provide the service. Priorities for providing meals are as follows: 1. Inability to leave the home without assistance of another or without using assistive devices. 2. Discharge from an acute care facility. 3. Functional disability which significantly limits the client's ability to prepare meals for himself.4. At risk: serious consequences will result if adequate nutrition is not maintained. 5. Lack of support from family, friends, or other agencies to provide meals.

COMMUNITY ON THE RISE EXISTS FOR THE EXPLICIT PURPOSE OF PROVIDING THE NECESSARY INFRASTRUCTURE, TOOLS, AND SUPPORT FOR HOMELESS AND LOW-INCOME CITIZENS OF THE GREATER BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA AREA AS WELL AS CITIZENS THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF ALABAMA, IN AN EFFORT TO PROVIDE THE SUPPORT AND RESOURCES FOR THESE CITIZENS TO ESCAPE POVERTY AND HOMELESSNESS. THROUGH EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATION, COMMUNITY, CITY AND STATE-WIDE OUTREACH, HOUSING, AND MENTAL/PHYSICAL WELLNESS SERVICES, COMMUNITY ON THE RISE SEEKS TO POSITIVELY AFFECT LIFE OUTCOMES FOR THOSE WHO LIVE IN POVERTY AND HOMELESSNESS.

Hope On Haven Hill

Hope on Haven Hill is a 501(c)3, charitable, nonprofit, 24 hour residential facility for pregnant women with substance use disorder and their newborns for up to a year postpartum. On site comprehensive group and individual addiction treatment services are provided in a safe, nurturing environment, taking into consideration the need for trauma informed, gender based treatment. Co-occurring mental health disorders are addressed as well with individual counseling. Childbirth education, nurturing parenting classes, mindfulness training along with yoga, art therapy and life skills coaching are integral parts of our phased programming. Hope on Haven Hill is located in Rochester, New Hampshire and services all of New Hampshire as well as bordering towns.

Family Lives on Foundation

Family Lives On Foundation's mission is to support the lifelong emotional well-being of children and teens whose mother or father has died and increase the awareness of the impact of grief and loss on a child. The Tradition Program provides virtual, ongoing, therapeutic support, meeting children and teens where they are, creating a safe haven for grief, communication and celebration.

Walking On Water Foundation

Walking On Water is a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with this generation’s global surfing community since 1995. Professional surfer Bryan Jennings started Walking on Water with the vision of using his surfing abilities to share his faith with young people. His idea was to hold an overnight surf camp for junior high and high school students where he would not only teach students how to surf, but also focus on sharing his Christian faith. What started as a small camp of ten students has now grown into a worldwide ministry that reaches thousands of people through films, outreach events, surf camps, and international mission trips.

COTS provides emergency shelter, services, and housing for people who are without homes or who are marginally housed. COTS advocates for long-term solutions to end homelessness. We believe: in the value and dignity of very human life; that housing is a fundamental human right; that emergency shelter is not the solution to homelessness.

Haiti On The Rise supports the reconstruction and development of structures and programs that benefit those affected by the 2010 Earthquake and recent catastrophes in Haiti. They identify community needs, select projects that meet those needs, and plan for and fund our selections. Their extensive work is focused in the areas of education, healthcare, sustainable housing, and pastoral endeavors. They aim to improve people’s lives and transform communities.
