Founded in 1984, St. Francis House is a nonsectarian, nonprofit daytime shelter providing basic and rehabilitation services designed to help homeless adults establish lives independent of shelters and institutions. Our goal is to provide our guests with everything they need to reclaim their dignity and rebuild their lives: nutritious meals, clothing, access to medical care, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, and housing. Vocational rehabilitation, in particular, is a strategic institutional goal, focused on helping our guests re-enter the workforce and positively engage with the world; strengthening themselves, their families, and the social and economic fabric of our communities.

Covenant House Florida is dedicated to serving all God’s children, with absolute respect and unconditional love, to guide youth experiencing homelessness, and to protect and safeguard all youth in need. The agency has locations in Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, Florida.

As Canada’s largest youth shelter, Covenant House Toronto opens doors of opportunity and hope to homeless youth. More than just a place to stay, we provide 24/7 crisis care and have the widest range of services under one roof, including education, counselling, health care and employment assistance. Kids come to Covenant House from every part of Canada and from every social and economic background. Most are fleeing or have been forced out of homes where there is abuse and neglect. The street is a dangerous and often deadly place for kids. Our doors are open to youth 16 to 24 regardless of race, creed, gender or the circumstances that have brought them to our threshold. Covenant House has helped thousands of young people move from a life on the streets to a life with a future. On average, about 4,000 young people turn to us annually.

Sojourner Truth House is a ministry of hope and help for homeless and at-risk women and their children sponsored by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ. Through hospitality, advocacy, integrative services and collaboration, participants improve their quality of life and that of the community in a safe, trusting environment.

William Temple House restores hope and renews strength in individuals and families in a welcoming and respectful atmosphere. With low- and no-cost mental health counseling, social services, and spiritual care, we lend a helping hand to Portland's most vulnerable populations.

Samaritan House is a community service organization devoted to serving individuals and families within our community by recognizing their needs and mobilizing the means for dealing with those needs so that suffering can be relieved, dignity preserved, and love shared. International Womens House is a domestic violence shelter with a mission to provide a safe haven and supportive services to women and children who are the victims of family violence, sexual abuse, and human trafficking, with a focus on immigrant and refugee women and children, cultural sensitivity and self-sufficiency.

Meeting Children Where They Are – Their Home Away from Home We authentically love all children that come to Jill’s House and their families. They inspire others. Jill’s House is designed around the children, we adjust to them, not them to us. The activities are carefully and strategically planned to meet the child where they are, with the purpose of bringing normalcy to childhood. We provide cozy and comfortable sleeping areas for safe and secure overnight stays, with constant and watchful care. Many of the children experience, for the first time: -Slumber parties -Birthday parties -Going to camp -Swimming in our indoor accessible pool -Singing in our music room -Creating crafts in our art room -Shooting hoops in our gymnasium -Playing outside on the specially equipped playground Changing The Face of Disability Ministry Jill’s House is a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to providing support for families (without regard to race, religion or ethnicity) raising children who have special needs through short-term overnight care and activities allowing respite for their families. We want to change the face of disability ministry in America so that each family of a special child has respite within reach and access to a church that embraces them. Why? Respite: Restored and Better Equipped The parents, caregivers and siblings of these special children are extraordinary human beings. They face the same day-to-day struggles as most with the added concern, dedication, stress and exhaustion that comes with raising a child with special needs. Overnight respite allows parents to: -Take time away and focus on their marriages. -Devote more time to typical siblings. -Continue their education to improve their family’s quality of life. -Get ahead on work. -Catch up with old friends. -Best of all, let go and release any guilt or fear, because they know their child is happy and safe. How? Through Christ, in Prayer On a foundation of vibrant faith in Jesus Christ, we work with purposeful excellence, engaging everyone we encounter with compassion and joyfully serving every child and family who walks through our doors. Open House Ministries is a life restoring Christian family homeless shelter. In an ideal world, there would be no homeless families, however in Clark County, homeless families with children are a significant population struggling with a combination of social conditions. We believe that broken families can change when treated with dignity, unconditional love, appropriate intervention and the chance for a fresh start. We are committed to providing housing, food, clothing and case management to families with children, leading them to healing of body, mind and spirit. Through a supportive community, we provide families new paths to healthy living, restoring hope and breaking the bonds of poverty and homelessness
