The mission of the Coral Reef Alliance (CORAL) is to unite communities to save coral reefs. We believe that to save coral reefs we must reduce local and regional threats in enough locations to ensure that reef-building corals can adapt to climate change.

Urban Food Alliance Nonprofit

Urban Food Alliance strives to alleviate food insecurity in local communities. We help feed the hungry in several ways:1) We provide warm meals at shelters and in places where homeless people gather. 2) We reach out to local Social Services departments to identify where meals are needed and work with them to organize collection drives to supply community food banks and soup kitchens.3) We create alliances with schools, community service groups, restaurants and other organizations to bring volunteers and resources together.4) In the long term, we hope to offer food education programs that will help people shop for and prepare healthy foods on a budget.

DC Kin Care Alliance

At DC KinCare Alliance, we seek to achieve a future where all DC children live in safe and stable homes without fear of abuse or neglect. We believe that supporting relative caregivers (often grandmothers) who raise DC children in crisis will help accomplish this goal. We work to support relative caregivers who have opened their homes and hearts to DC’s most vulnerable and at-risk children whose parents are not able to care for them.

Congregation Hebrew Educational Alliance

The HEA has over 950 member families and invites participation from the greater Denver community at our social, cultural, educational and religious events including our Annual Art Fair, monthly movie festivals, city-wide Peanut Butter Plan (sandwiches and care packages for the homeless) and preschool. The Hebrew Educational Alliance is a community dedicated to the belief that Jewish tradition has the power to infuse our lives with meaning and purpose. Our congregation is vibrant, active, eager to learn, and truly represents life in Denver. We seek to provide our members with opportunities for study, prayer, culture, and acts of kindness in the building of our community and our city.
