Common Threads is a national nonprofit that provides children and families cooking and nutrition education to encourage healthy habits that contribute to wellness. We equip under-resourced communities with information to make affordable, nutritious and appealing food choices wherever they live, work, learn, and play. We know that food is rooted in culture and tradition so we promote diversity in our lessons and recipes, encouraging our participants to celebrate their culture.

Rose Haven's mission is to provide day shelter, resources, emotional support and community connections to women, children and marginalized genders experiencing homelessness and poverty.Our vision is a community where everyone has safety, stability, love, health and home.Rose Haven is a low barrier agency that exists not to just meet basic needs, but to nurture souls and improve the emotional, mental and physical well-being of our guests and our community as a whole. We understand our agency exists within larger systems of oppression, and we seek to disrupt those structures through radical hospitality, advocacy on an individual and community level, and meaningful connections to resources. We work to hold a space where all guests can connect, have a voice and be empowered.

Here, children and their families are treated to weeklong, cost-free fantasy vacations, complete with accommodations in the Village's whimsical villas, transportation, donated attraction tickets, meals, and much more. At the Village, these precious children learn that dreams really do come true, as they and their families are immersed in joy, hope, and non-stop fun for a few unforgettably happy days. Since 1989, the Village has hosted more than 130,000 deserving families from all 50 states and more than 75 countries. This extraordinary, life-changing experience is Give Kids The World's gift, made possible only through the generosity of dedicated corporations and countless individuals.

Musicians On Call, a nonprofit organization formed in 1999, uses music and entertainment to promote and complement the healing process for patients in the interest of improving their quality of life and creating a better living and healing environment. Additionally, Musicians On Call seeks to raise awareness of the beneficial effects of music and entertainment for people in healthcare facilities.

The Rotary Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation funded solely by voluntary contributions from members and friends of Rotary who support its mission to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace. Using Rotary Foundation grants, Rotary’s 34,000 clubs across the globe develop and carry out sustainable humanitarian projects and provide scholarships and professional training opportunities that promote peace, fight disease, provide clean water, sustain mothers and children, improve education, and strengthen local economies. The Foundation is a worldwide leader in the effort to eradicate polio through its partnership with the World Health Organization, UNICEF, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. When Rotary launched its PolioPlus program in 1985, more than 350,000 people were afflicted with polio each year, and the disease was endemic in more than 125 countries. Since 1988, Rotary and its partners in the Global Polio Eradication Initiative have immunized over 2.5 billion children, reducing the incidence of polio by 99 percent and eradicating it from all but three countries. Rotary has contributed more than US$1 billion and many thousands of hours to the eradication effort. The Foundation also funds the training of hundreds of peacemakers through the Rotary Peace Centers program, which enables fellows to pursue a master’s degree or professional certificate at one of Rotary’s partner universities. Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive - at home, at school and at play. We supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities that have with communities that need.

We embrace people experiencing homelessness with the compassion of Christ, giving hope and healing for a changed life, helping them to find their way home. Union Rescue Mission is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring the lives of the homeless and poor in Los Angeles by seeking to empower them to break the cycle of poverty and become self-sufficient. 

Food For The Poor, one of the largest international relief and development organizations in the nation, does much more than feed millions of hungry children and families living in poverty primarily in 15 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. This interdenominational Christian ministry provides emergency relief assistance, water, medicine, educational materials, homes, support for vulnerable children, care for the aged, skills training and micro-enterprise development assistance.
