The Shaw House Mission is to engage youth who are homeless, or at-risk of becoming homeless, in achieving stability and a viable plan for the future by providing a safe, stable environment, access to essential services, supportive adult connections, and advocating for changes that address the needs of homeless youth.

Our mission at JA is: To inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. It’s not an easy task. But it’s the kind of challenge that JA takes on with creative energy, fervor, and decisive action. Junior Achievement has recently adopted a strategic plan to guide the organization’s growth and development over the next several years. This plan will ensure that JA is vital to those who build the future. Junior Achievement of East Tennessee’s mission is to ensure that every child throughout East Tennessee has a fundamental understanding of the free enterprise system. More directly, JA’s purpose is to educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise, business, and economics in an effort to improve the quality of their lives.

A Volunteer Travel Community that connects people globally to communities and causes to make an impact through volunteering. We listen to local people’s needs, dreams and plans. Then, we mobilize volunteers to work hand-in-hand with them on their community’s vision to serve youth and families. You’re now part of that conversation!

THE IMPACT AREAS ARE BASED ON THE UNITED WAY'S GOALS FOR THE COMMON GOOD - INCOME, EDUCATION, AND HEALTH.

Rahab's Daughters specializes in rescue, rehabilitation & reintegration of survivors of trafficking. We offer survivors of human trafficking, shelter, clothing, education, vocational training, and the ability to create a dream Plan that empowers them to start making choices for their own lives and break free from being controlled by someone else.

The Power 10 Project master plan defines four phases of future development: Phase One: Waterfront Improvement and Dock Replacement Phase Two: Greater Dayton Rowing and Fitness Facility Phase Three: River Enhancement (North of I-75) Phase Four: River Enhancement (South of Island MetroPark)

SHARE is a respected nonprofit that cares for the community’s most vulnerable in collaboration with governmental and other non-profit agencies by providing a temporary safety net to ensure basic needs are met. SHARE also offers advocacy, planning, and facilitation of services to help clients enhance their strengths and capabilities that will lead to long-term stability and success.

Mission To engage individuals and the community to end domestic violence in Penobscot and Piscataquis Counties in Maine. We provide support, advocacy, and safety planning to anyone affected by domestic abuse. They foster safe and healthy relationships through prevention, education, and training. Together with their community they recognize the nature of abuse, respond to it, and change the conditions which lead to it.

Their mission is to help severely impoverished small communities facilitate and develop the necessary skill sets to become economically self-sustaining. They plan to achieve this by providing education, business development opportunities, health services, and creating community infrastructure. They are guided by the principle of self-reliance and helping communities to learn to help themselves to reach their full potential.

Project Success motivates and inspires young people to dream about the future, helps them take steps to get there and gives them the tools they need to achieve their goals. Our vision is that every child entering middle school will graduate high school with a plan for their future and have the skills and confidence that will take them through the rest of their lives.

Responsible for operations, maintenance, and capital improvements to 128 parks and recreation areas in Macon & Bibb County. Responsible for planning, design, and development of new parks and recreation facilities. Programs Offered: Sports/Athletics; Instructional/Enrichment; Camps; Special Events; Special Populations (Senior Citizens and Physically/Mentally challenged); Interpretive/Environmental Education; Cultural Arts.
