Your support will help to provide emotional, social, financial and educational care to children with cancer who are treated at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, the only treatment facility for childhood cancer in Central Virginia. Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Metro

The mission of the Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Metro is to keep families with sick children close to each other and the care and resources they need. The House provides the parents and siblings of these children with a temporary haven in a secure and comfortable environment among other families sharing a similar burden. The founders of the first Ronald McDonald House believed that no child should face the weight of illness alone and designed programs that keep families near each other and the medical care they need. Our Ronald McDonald House founders created a community that serves more than 3,500 families each year—and is still growing. Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Metro is now expanding to meet the needs of families in our community through the operation of a Ronald McDonald House in New Hyde Park and two Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital.
