The mission of the Child Abuse Prevention Council is to promote the safety of children and prevent child abuse and neglect in Contra Costa County by raising community awareness, influencing public policy, educating our community and providing resources.

NCJW|LA is a section of the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW), a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children, and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms. NCJW|LA serves more than 12,000 individuals through our Community Mental Health and Supportive Services, Scholarships, Talkline, Youth Educational Programs and Services, Back 2 School Store, intern training programs and our clothing assistance projects. NCJW|LA social justice programs provide education and legislative advocacy on issues that affect and impact women, children, and families in the areas of children’s rights, economic justice, healthcare, human trafficking, immigration reform, reproductive justice, LGBTQ+ rights, and gender-related violence.

The Muslim Speakers Network (MSN), a project of the Islamic Shura Council of Southern California, seeks to educate our fellow Americans about American Muslims and their faith. We achieve this through many means, including presentations to students and educators in accordance with the First Amendments and through supplementing school curricula. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a faith-based volunteer organization that offers direct aid to those in need across nine counties in North Texas. The Society provides short-term financial, material and emotional support. People are empowered to reach the goal of self-sufficiency through advocacy, education and referrals. Inspired by Gospel values, members grow spiritually through person-to-person service to all in need. Through systemic change, the Society promotes dignity, alleviates suffering and distress, and addresses the conditions that cause the person to need assistance.
