Jodi House empowers brain injury survivors to not merely survive, but thrive.

After years of careful planning and preparation, the community responded and in less than two years of fund raising through private gifts and grants, $6 million was raised to bring Ronald McDonald House to Long Beach. The Long Beach House joined more than 300 other Ronald McDonald Houses in 58 countries and regions around the world.  Locally, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California operates Houses in Bakersfield, Loma Linda, Los Angeles, Orange, and Pasadena.  The chapter also operates Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, a free, medically-supervised, year-round sleep away camp for children with cancer and their siblings, as well as two Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at CHOC in Orange and CHOC at Mission in Mission Viejo, which serve as an oasis for families inside of hospitals. Additionally, the chapter awards scholarship funds to exceptional high school students and community grants to non-profit organizations that benefit children. Research shows that a family's presence in the hospital helps children heal. Staying close by allows parents to better communicate with their child's medical team and improves adherence to complicated treatment plans. These are only some of the reasons that make Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California an important organization. Ronald McDonald House Charities Baltimore provides a “home-away-from-home” for seriously ill children and their families.

The Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth keeps families near each other and the medical care their sick children needs by providing a temporary "home-away-from-home".

Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Jacksonville supports the health and well-being of children by providing lodging, meals, transportation and a community of care to critically ill children and their families who need to be near a hospital for treatment.

SECU Family House is a safe, nurturing, affordable home for patients and their loved ones who travel great distances to UNC Hospitals for life-saving procedures and serious illnesses.We provide guests lodging, meals, supportive programs, transportation and a caring support network. We serve families from all 100 North Carolina counties and beyond, helping them rest, heal, and gather strength when they need it most

The Latisha's House Foundation has a unique place in our community. It provides a safe, residential home for young women who are victims of human sex trafficking and sexual exploitation. Our overriding goal is to rescue these young survivors and restore their shattered lives to wholeness by providing:Long term housingEducational supportAssistance in recovery from substance abuseTrauma based counselingMedical interventionStructure, guidance, life-skills and job training In conjunction with more than 25 community partners, Latisha's House is committed to increasing the opportunities for these young victims to holistically build new lives with dignity, purpose, value, independence and free choice.Our second, but equally important, goal is to educate the public and our legislative leaders about the realities of human sex trafficking at all levels: local, state and national. (According to the F.B.I. this is one of the most lucrative and fastest growing crimes in our nation. It is NOT ""victimless"". It is pervasive at every level.)
