Harlem Children's Zone

The unique Harlem Children’s Zone has transformed what it means for children to grow up in a high-poverty community. HCZ’s unprecedented success is a result of a seamless pipeline of programs that optimize the development of children at each level, from birth through college. In our 97-block Children’s Zone we strengthen the families around the children and have created a culture of success, where college-going is the norm. We serve 12,500 children and 12,500 adults among our 30+ programs, all guided by a commitment to continuous improvement and driven by data. We run two K-12 charter schools, early childhood programs, afterschool programs, social-work offices, community-building efforts and a college support program. We have graduated more than 700 students from college since 2011.

DePelchin Children's Center

We strengthen the lives of children by enhancing their mental health and physical well-being. DePelchin Children’s Center believes that every child deserves to be safe and healthy. An accredited foster care and adoption agency, DePelchin serves the most vulnerable children and families in Texas and works to break the cycles of abuse and neglect. Our approach to caring for children integrates prevention, foster care, adoption and post-adoption programs to improve the mental health and physical well-being of children who are at risk of entering or are in the State’s child welfare system. Founded in 1892, DePelchin is a nonprofit organization with locations throughout Houston and across Texas and gratefully receives support from individuals, foundations, corporations, government grants and the United Way.

Orangewood Childrens Foundation

The mission of Orangewood Children's Foundation is to provide life-changing prevention and intervention programs for abused and neglected children, young adults and at-risk families through one-on-one support and community partnerships to end the cycle of child abuse.

Children's Institute (Cii)

Children's Institute, Inc. (CII) helps children in Los Angeles's most challenged communities heal from the trauma of family and community violence, build the confidence and skills to break through the barriers of poverty, and grow up to lead healthy, productive lives. Established in 1906, CII now reaches more than 26,000 children and families each year through treatment, youth development, early childhood and family support services. We also work to inform the larger field of children's services through the research and professional development efforts of our Leadership Center.
