The Mississippi Campaign for Teen Pregnancy Prevention is committed to preventing teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, and HIV/AIDS so that young people can have better and healthier lives. The method is to implement comprehensive, evidence-based, medically accurate, age-appropriate sexual health information in community settings.

The Juan Felipe Gomez Escobar Foundation is a non profit organization, which directs its efforts towards improving life quality of children living in utter misery in the city of Cartagena - Colombia. This purpose is accomplished providing integral attention in terms of health, psychological and emotional support, and formation in productive activities.

What happens in childhood has a profound effect on the rest of life. Chicago’s most vulnerable are children living in extreme poverty who face serious health issues. Many of their families subsist on annual incomes of $5,000 or less, live in communities with high crime and unemployment, face housing insecurity and hunger, and often lack access to the support they need to treat their illness. Survival is at the heart of their daily lives, but it doesn’t need to be. This is why Children’s Place Association exists. We believe all children – regardless of health or economic status – should have the opportunity to lead their best lives. For 25 years, Children’s Place Association has intervened at critical points in a child’s development by stabilizing the most vulnerable children and families, crafting personalized plans for their well-being, and providing comprehensive services that break the cycles of poverty and illness. Opened in 1991 to serve children with HIV/AIDS, today Children’s Place helps kids and families confronting both serious health issues – such as cancer, epilepsy, autism and HIV – and extreme poverty. Our comprehensive services are designed to maximize impact on a child’s future and empower them to become successful adults.

The main goal of Greater Good International (aka Greater Good Haiti) is to provide remedial education for children who have otherwise no means of attending school, enabling them to better their lives and the lives of their families. GGH reinforces these efforts with a feeding program and health, wellness and environmental education to the students and surrounding community.

Big Animals for Little Kids is an all-volunteer organization in San Diego. The purpose is to bring joy into the lives of children, especially children facing health, emotional or socio-economic challenges. Wearing our Big Animals costumes, we regularly visit children in hospitals, homeless shelters and foster care facilities.

Mamatoto Village is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization devoted to creating career pathways for Women of Color in the field of public health and human services; and providing accessible perinatal support services designed to empower women with the necessary tools to make the most informed decisions in their maternity care, their parenting, and their lives.
