Teen Esteem's goal is to educate, equip, and empower teens, parents, educators, and the community on issues related to teens and adolescent health, while addressing the importance of self-respect and respect for others. We are committed to promoting a message of healthy choices and risk avoidance using accurate and up-to-date statistics and information. Teen Esteem's dynamic, relevant presentations address today's challenges students & parents face in school and at home. Our message to students is that your value is not based on what you do but on who you are and that everyone deserves to be treated with respect.

Building Community for youth in foster care since 1998. At Peace4Kids, we employ an approach that we call “Community as Family”. Youth in foster care, supported by a responsive, consistent and culturally sensitive volunteer community, develop a sense of belonging and permanence. Our core belief is that all youth deserve hope and possibilities. Committed to serving vulnerable children and youth in foster care, Peace4Kids creatively inspires these youth to discover their unique voice while providing the tools for success. We encourage the health and well-being of the individual by ensuring that they are a valued part of the whole.

Founded in 2012, Postpartum Society of Florida (PPSF) volunteers are committed and passionate about easing the transition from pregnancy to parenthood in the perinatal period through education, preparation, and support. Our goal is to reduce overall incidence of PMADs in the perinatal population (currently 1 in 5 women suffer a PMAD or "postpartum depression" as it is popularly termed) quality education, community building, and reduction of isolation and escalation of crisis. Through our programs such helpp scholarship for providers (34 providers trained in PMADs in 17 counties), SisterMom mentorship training (12 volunteers trained in 8 counties), mitunes: mother-infant music (more than 2,000 copies distributed in west coast Florida and online), web-based perinatal support locator (new! ), and our outstanding free mother-to-mother peer support groups and warmlines in the Sarasota/Bradenton area (more than 2,000 personal contacts per year), we can making powerful strides toward improving maternal (and paternal! ) - infant health and wellness in the state of Florida. Mission: To break multi-generational cycles of child abuse, neglect, and trauma. Vision: That all children will grow up in safe, stable, nurturing relationships and environments. That child abuse and neglect is recognized as a serious public health concern that causes lifetime physical, psychological and behavioral problems for children and impacts communities for generations. Changing lives... Changing families... Changing futures Research demonstrates that Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) have the potential to disrupt child development leading to potential life-long challenges, including poor emotional/physical health. While positive childhood experiences can build strong, healthy brains and lay the foundation for emotional/ social successes, negative experiences often perpetuate cycles of abuse, neglect, and trauma increasing behavioral problems, substance abuse, and incarceration rates. The Family Center works alongside families through group and in-home sessions helping parents recognize the impact of ACEs on early brain development, how to build resiliency in their children, and positive ways to engage with and support their children. We believe that community outreach, advocacy, and professional training is essential to increase awareness of the effects of ACEs community-wide and make systems changes to benefit generations of Tennesseans. The Family Center is a licensed child abuse prevention agency serving middle Tennessee.

We clean water for kids. We believe that every child deserves to have clean water, clean hands, clean toilets, and access to menstrual health support. Through partnerships with governments and other local leaders, we will demonstrate a replicable model for cost-effective citywide water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) solutions that can improve the lives of millions. Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. Yet, there are still millions of children lacking access to clean water, reliable infrastructure, and essential knowledge about their wellbeing. As long as this need persists, Splash remains steadfast in fulfilling its vital role.

BronxWorks helps individuals and families improve their economic and social well-being. From toddlers to seniors, we feed, shelter, teach, and support our neighbors to build a stronger community. BronxWorks serves over 50,000 Bronx residents a year from 40 locations across the Bronx, primarily in the southern part of the borough. Our services (some borough-wide) include: benefits assistance; programs for children, youth, families, and seniors; immigration services; workforce development; HIV/AIDS and other chronic illness programs; health and wellness promotion; homeless services; and eviction prevention.

At Girls on the Run we inspire girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through our research-based curricula which includes dynamic discussions, activities and running games. Over the course of the ten-week program, girls in 3rd-8th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event.

PLAY International is a charity founded in 1999 on a conviction: sport is a source of solutions to our societal challenges. Its mission is to cocreate and implement education and inclusion projects for children and youth in vulnerable situations, using sport and sport games as educational tools. The NGO works in particular on issues such as access to and retention in school, gender equalitý, community reconciliation, health prevention, environmental education, living together, changing the way we look at disability... Since its creation, it has implemented educational and humanitarian projects, in France and internationally in 20 countries, for the benefit of nearly one million children.

Special Love provides a strong, nurturing environment for children with cancer and their families; through its free camps and get-away weekends, emergency financial assistance, personal development programming for young adult cancer survivors and educational scholarships for young adults who want to move on from cancer and on with their lives.Since its inception in 1983, nearly 1,000 children and families each year benefit from Special Love’s support, coming from up and down the east coast, as well as areas all across the country through its unique partnership with the National Institutes of Health.

Serve the People (STP) provides food, clothing, medical care, and legal assistance, giving a hand up, and not just a hand-out. Since its founding in 2008, STP has centered its programs on the needs of the greater Santa Ana community, providing a trusted resource for people who have nowhere else to go for food and healthcare.
