Chemo Buddies is a grassroots non profit organization that provides a group of dedicated volunteers who serve cancer patients while they are in the treatment room receiving chemotherapy. Chemo is time consuming — it can take up to 8 hours — and this leaves many patients without their normal support person or family. The Chemo Buddies volunteers serve as companions for patients, and help with snacks, books, games, blankets and the kind of hospitality you would hope to receive if you were visiting someone's home. Our goal is to make chemo a more comfortable and life giving experience physically, mentally and spiritually. We are here because we believe, "No one should ever have to go through chemo alone."

The mission of jewish family service of greater new orleans is to preserve strengthen, and enhance the well-being and self-sufficiency of individuals and families at every stage of life. Jfs provides behavioral health programs such as counseling for individuals, couples, families and groups, case management, information and referral and teen suicide prevention. It also offers programs to keep seniors in the community such as emergency response home monitoring services.

Help a Mother Out® works to improve baby and family well being by increasing access to diapers for families in need. A family’s access to a reliable supply of clean diapers reduces the risk of infectious disease outbreaks, improves baby’s health and comfort, and enables baby’s participation in early care and education programs. Their vision is a day when every baby has a healthy supply of diapers.

The Butterfly Tree's aim is to improve the lives of vulnerable people living in remote villages in Zambia. To advance the education and improve the facilities in rural schools, giving every child a chance to be educated. To protect the health of patients by developing the rural clinics offering support sevices, medical supplies and equipment. To relieve poverty and improve the living conditions of socially disadvantaged communities teaching them how to become sustainable.
