Friends is a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing support, education, and a sense of empowerment for young people who stutter and their families. Our vision is to help build a world in which all young people who stutter feel empowered to communicate whenever, wherever, and however they want to.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the National Capital Area is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of children through professionally supported long-term, One-To-One® mentoring relationships with carefully screened, caring and committed adults in Washington, DC, Northern Virginia and suburban Maryland.

The National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) / Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Association for Children, together with its state and local members, supports and promotes court appointed volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected children so that they can thrive in safe, permanent homes. Every year, over 750,000 children experience foster care and need a caring adult to speak up for their best interests. A CASA/GAL volunteer is that voice.

The mission of Safe Alliance is to provide hope and healing to those impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault.
